  1. Motorola SURFboard SB6121 Docsis 3.0 modem and COX cable broadband internet.
  2. First time on the forums, and im sorry if this is an old one, I purchased the ASUS RT-AX58U yesterday at a best buy to replace my 8-10 year old ASUS NT router that had finally failed (power button would no longer stay pushed in). After going through the "wizard" setting up the router it would not connect to my modem, giving a "ISP doesnt support this dhcp" error. After trying to change some setting for a while i was able to get the router to update firmware and then reset it to post firmware update stock settings...though it still claimed that it couldn't connect to the internet even while it was updating firmware. Today i gave it another try, rebooting both modem and router a number of times and i was FINALLY able to get youtube and facebook to open on my desktop (Via WIFI, never LAN), but nothing else was able to connect, on my PC Steam, discord, and any other website aside from FB and YT were not able to connect. And yes i was able to play videos on YT i havent yet watched, so it WAS working. I was never able to get my LAN hard-line connection to give internet access, only WiFi. Other devices, such as phones, roku's, and smart TV's were likewise unable to connect to the internet. and through the ASUS router app i was never able to validate it had connection to the modem. Is there ANY way to fix this issue? or perhaps even get in contact with ASUS support that isnt through their laptop dept? I did call them, they said they could help via internet chat...totally helpful when the issue is a router...
