Dude, I get it. You aren't very fond of Nvidia. Me neither, given their greed. You don't have to tag me in another post with a condescending tone to prove your point. I've been struggling to decide between a few GPUs and ultimately landed on the 4080. Is it that bad? Also, I am trying to future proof 3-4 years into the future, not indefinitely, so I think it's a valid question. Otherwise, I appreciate your help.

Budget (including currency): $ 2000 Country: US/China (I can source from both places, most of the stuff I am planning to buy are at MSRP) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GAMING ONLY Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey guys, so I have been looking to upgrade my setup for a while now, here's my current build; 2070 Super Gigabyte Gaming OC; X570 MSI Tomahawk; Corsair DDR4 3600 RGB; Ryzen 3600X; Seasonic Prime 1000w Platinum; I am looking to upgrade my 1440p gaming experience. Throwing in a 4080 and a 5800x3d. My questions are: Is this a future proof build? Will it potentially last me for the next 4 years of supreme 2k gaming experience? Especially given that I am not upgrading my ram to DDR5. Are there any bottlenecks in my current plan? Games I am playing or am planning to play/re-play: RDR2 / MS Flight Simulator / MW2 + Future MW titles / Cyperpunk/ ??GTA 6?? / Last of Us Here's the PC Part Picker List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4RTC78 - Joshua

1440p gaming GPU suggestions; Next 3-4 years!
realhoneybadger replied to realhoneybadger's topic in Graphics Cards
Deal? What deal? I don't reside in the US. I mean I could get a 7900 xtx Gaming OC for $1,100 in my country. Are you using a 7900xtx? You find any issues with it? Are you happy with it? I am more of a plug and play person haha! -
1440p gaming GPU suggestions; Next 3-4 years!

Probably within the $1000? 5800x3d; 32GB DDR4; X570; 1000w Plat PSU; 165hz 1400p monitor; -
Hey everyone! I am currently rocking the 2070super and am looking to upgrade my GPU. I game on a 1440p monitor and have no interest in gaming in 4k. (I can't tell the difference anyway. xD. Especially because I like to game on 27-inch monitor). I am planning to keep my upgraded GPU for the next 3-4 years. I almost pulled the trigger twice. Once on a 7900xtx and once on a 4070Ti. I backed off the 7900xtx because there are some very "mixed" review regarding the drivers scattered around internet forums, and I am really no good in fixing / tweaking drivers and stuff... As for the 4070Ti, will 12GB of vram suffice for the next 3 years of triple A titles, gaming on 2k? I feel like the 4080 is an overkill, especially considering the price ... If not, are there any GPUs you recommend me getting? My budget is quite flexible, but I just don't want to spend more than I have to. Current Setup: 2k 165hz ; 5800x3d; 32GB 3600 DDR4; Hoping to play or re-play: RDR2 / MSFS / MW2 / 2077 / Spiderman / Any other cool looking games :D! Thank you for reading! Cheers

I am looking to upgrade my GPU but am struggling to decide on one! These are the prices I can find! Which one would you get? TUF GeForce RTX 3060Ti-O8GD6X-GAMING - US$ 510 TUF GeForce RTX 3070 O8G V2 Gaming - US$ 581 AORUS GeForce RTX 3070Ti MASTER 8G - US$ 670 ROG Strix 4070Ti TUF FAMINF 12G - US$ 960 XFX RX 7900XT 20G - US$ 870 XFX RX 6950XT 16G - US$ 725 I thought about getting second hand cards, but I reside in China, and am afraid the second hand cards are all old mining cards. I could get a Aorus 3070 second hand for $275, but is it worth the risk? About my current setup: Monitor - 27-inch 165hz 2k monitor CPU - 3600X GPU - 2070 super MB - MSI X570

Wondering if anyone can give me some good recommendation for a 14-15 inch laptop. I am using it for 2 primary purposes, medium-weight gaming (prob 3060/70 or equivalent will do) and mobile application development. Cheers guys. Though I don't know what b-die is, I am assuming it would far exceed my budget. -

Is this a good choice? https://www.amazon.com/G-Skill-Trident-PC4-28800-CL16-19-19-39-F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC/dp/B07WVT8SGF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2YWU5E7LCPJPG&dchild=1&keywords=trident+z+neo+16gb&qid=1591596261&s=electronics&sprefix=Trident+Z+NEo+16+%2Celectronics%2C147&sr=1-1 Btw, Tofu, I have spoken to you in this forum more than I have spoken to my mother in the past few days. -
Best RAM (16GB) for 3700X
realhoneybadger replied to realhoneybadger's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
But that's not a 3600, does it matter? I heard AMD performs better with faster RAM? Again, I am a newbie, please correct me if I am wrong. -
What is the best RAM for the 3700X CPU? I was about to buy the Trident Z Neo 16GB, but then the titles confused me. Some includes (AMD), some includes specific generations and all that confusing stuff .... Any suggestion on what should I get? Budget $130 (willing to go higher if justifiable). Preferably with RGB because I am low and sad. Cheers guys.
