  1. I format windows on a weekly basis and, maybe it's just my mind, but the situation is better when Windows is freshly installed and I don't let him download ANY update. Only the one necessary to play games which I let the launchers to download automatically.
  2. In some cases you are right. We play far cry 5 every day and I always asked him if he see my same problem and he Indeed always said yes, he can see It. But After he upgraded the GPU he was HORRIFIED After asked him again. It got worse. He experienced out same downgrade in graphics
  3. I know, I have your exact same issue. I'm saying that upgrading from a brand to another (so entirely new drivers) may fix it. Years ago (at least 10) I had the same issue, it disappeared after I updgraded GPU. Anyway, our problem is much more widespread that you think. I've found countless threads on many forum of this problem applied to a variety of games. For example, there are a lot of threads relating the Resident Evil engine having bugged reflections. They are not bugged, they all have our same problem and they notice it only in Resident Evil. I know because I played RE2 and RE7 before I had this problem and the reflections were perfectly fine, awesome. Same thing for a lot of other games, GTA5, RDR2, Far Cry 5, Assassin's Creed Series, you name it. They just don't know that it's in ALL games for them. It can also show itself in a variety of different cases, like The Long Dark, which is an Unity game, appears to be stuck on low setting as they discussed in this thread years ago https://steamcommunity.com/app/305620/discussions/4/2119355556474754620/?l=italian That guy was just having our same issue, because I have his same problem today with that game.
  4. For me, after i format clean the sdd with windows, and stopping windows updates - installing only gpu drivers, it seems that the problem is almost gone. Studying A LOT of games that i play on other people pc's and on youtube/twitch I simply noticed that to some degree the pop-in of objects and texture and even the shadow/reflection shimmering is normal in every game. It is just too amplified to us due tu some major driver failure. But to our eyes seems to never go away because IT IS always there in every game to some degree. I'm pretty sure thaty in this moment if I would upgrade my AMD gpu to an Nvidia one the problem would magically disappear.
  5. One friend of mine just upgraded his GPU from an Nvidia Geforce 1050 to an AMD 5700XT. After he uninstalled his nvidia driver and installed latest AMD drivers we played Far Cry 5 as usual. I asked him if he noticed some difference in the Lod (a thing that I asked him many times): He was horrified. Trees loading everywhere, shadows and reflections all fucked up, shimmering and texture pop-in everywhere. I said to him welcome to the club. So there you go. It's a driver problem.
  6. Not for him 50€. For whoever. Add your money if you want. I found a guy who explained (years ago) how to adjust the low lod bias from the registry.
  7. I'll say it again, 50€ to whoever can solve this problem once and for all. Someone contact Linus, we absolutely need help.
  8. All the stuff about the GPU L2 Cache being stuck or something like that....If it like this, why the problem is still there even changing GPU?
  9. I would honestly pay anyone who can solve this problem. 50€ is my offer to anyone who can solve this problem once and for all. Not joking.
  10. This. I think this the road. C++ libraries, Microsof Frameworks and stuff like that. I had pirated Windows 10 that COULD NOT install those stuff, and everything worked perfectly. Switched to legit Windows, downloaded all that stuff, I'm, fucked.
  11. I would investigate in that direction too. I know this problem appeared years ago too (to mee too) but that doesn't mean that it could be the same result for some kind of conflict. Sadly, i didn't try a fresh windows install without Epic Games, the launchers are always the first thing I tried. I've seen that with Uplay games the problem isn't there at first, It seems to appear after a while.
  12. I honestly noticed this problem even on many streamers, youtube gameplay videos and such. But I simply think that it's a problem that many people but not everybody notice it. Many simply think that's just the way the games are supposed to look or someone else may never notice it. My friend who lives with me doesn't have this problem, but he is not able to see it on my PC unless I don't point it out to him.
  13. I can not be sure because I didn't played it too much. I've seen another after us that got everything started with GTA 5. It could be a line to investigate. I have an RX 580. I also have a question: do you have or ever had a pirated version of Windows 10? Tell me if you have, what kind of pirated version, everything you can. This issue started for me also when I started to have a "Legit" WIN10 that could download all the updates for it. I think the issue start from some kind of bug between gpu drivers and windows drivers
  14. Dude, it started for me with GTA 5 Epic Games as well. That's why at first I was thinking (and I still think in some degree) that is related to some kind of driver that come installed with GTA or some other games, or some windows update related. You know, visual c++, microsoft frameworks and stuff like that. I also say this I'm 99% sure that I haven't those windows drivers before installing GTA 5
