Upgrading from an XFX R9 390, just bought an XFX RX 5700 XT III Ultra and it isn’t being detected by my motherboard. I’ve tried:
· Removed and reseated the card
· Tried 2 out of the three PCIe x16 slots (it’s too big to use the third)
· Updated the bios (it’s now up-to-date)
· I don’t have another system to test it in
· I don’t think it’s a psu issue I’ve got a 650w psu, it should be enough
· When I check the bios it doesn’t appear at all
· It doesn’t appear in manager
· It isn’t detected by AMD software
· The LED indicators are blue, which I’m pretty sure means it isn’t a power issue
I’m contemplating returning it but wanted to make sure I haven’t missed anything. I’d rather not return it if it can be helped.
I have both the R9 390 and the 5700 XT in the rig at the moment. The fans spin in the 5700 but that’s all.
Any ideas?
Thanks
