  1. So I have an ASUS H170 Pro Gaming board with I5-6600K. As you know I can't OC on this board but I saw an CPU_OV jumper on the board and I was wondering what is it for? I mean it is for overclocking but I can't overclock or can I? If I can't then what is it for? I don't get it.
  2. Yep I know. I'm planing to upgrade but not yet.
  3. Hi there. So yesterday I hit my CPU's limit. I was playing AC Odyssey and I was monitoring the resources and I found out my Graphic Card was only 80% in use and CPU was 100% which means the CPU is bottelnecking my GPU. I'm not sure though, the GPU itself is weak too and the resolution was 1600*900 and I Overclocked the GPU high enough to get boost but there was no boost at all in the game, not even a single frame but in benchmark there was a few fps boost. So I suspect the CPU. So since my Mother Board is not meant for Overclocking I was looking for other ways to boost CPU's performance to get more GPU performance. Does anyone have any idea how I can boost CPU frequency or performance or anything at all? (Actually there is this "increasing the resolution will reduce the CPU's pressure" theory but I can't do that since the Display's limit is 1600*900.) Is there any way to boost it from bios? Thanks.
  4. So that's it then. He has served his duty. No more. Damn it, need an upgrade here! Thank you.
  5. ASUS TURBO GTX 960 4GB OC GDDR5
  6. Well I went through different guides and I saw people have pretty fps boost but (there is always a but) it didn't work me. I'm feeling like , OK I'm definitely doing something wrong.
  7. Hello there. Well I have bumped into a problem and wanted to ask here if anyone knows anything. I have a Asus Turbo GTX 960 4GB OC GDDR5 and yeah I know it's a little bit old considering we are in 2020. So I decided to overclock it to get the maximum performance of it or so, and I clocked GPU Clock (Core Clock) +125 MHz and Memory Clock +500 MHz there was not significant boost in performance, actually I can say there was not any boost at all I guess. Well I used Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and Asus GPU Tweak II and I just found out that the overclock just helped around 85 freaking points not more. So then I decided some gaming benchmark and there was no boost at all. I tried on Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Ultra Spec and 1600*900 Resolution and got 27 fps. I tried it Non-OC and OCed but nothing. I always get 27fps. Actually one time it was 30. So am I doing something wrong or the clocks are nothing significant for boost? Oh by the way, I tried MSI Afterburner with MSI Kombustor and they felt like they weren't compatible with my card. And this is my full spec in any case you need it: Motherboard: ASUS Pro Gaming H170 (latest bios) CPU: Intel Core I5-6600K GPU: ASUS Turbo GTX 960 4GB GDDR5 OC RAM: 8GB 2400Mhz CL15 DDR4 GSkill Aegis PSU: 650W GREEN 80 Plus Gold Monitor: 1600*900 60Hz (yeah old school!)
