  1. Ill start with a rundown of the important parts, Motherboard: Asus strix b450F Ram: Patriot viper 2x8 ddr4 3000 Cpu: ryzen 5 2600x This is my friends computer however he doesn't know a lot about this stuff hence why I am here. Short version: Moved ram from slot 1 and 2 into 2 and 4, solid orange light on mobo, no display and have tried different configurations including just one stick. pls help. Long version: So basically we were chatting in discord about his ram speed as it displaying half of what it had been set to in the bios. After I spoke about mine he said his ram was in slot 1 and 2. So of course I got him to change it and this is where the problem started. He has tried putting the ram in all sorts of configurations but there is a solid orange light indicating a ram error I believe. This of course isn't displaying anything on the monitor and the gpu fans aren't spinning as a result. Now I am completely stuck and the new cod launches in a week and he is more than hyped for it. Any guidance and help would be much appreciated. I should also mention that while searching for a fix, many people had said asus launched a bunch of faulty mobos with defective ram slots in roughly 2018 I think. He purchased his from newegg in roughly 2018/19. Problem is the dimm slots were working but now they're not at all. He also hasn't updated his drivers and the bios version was from like 2018.
  2. This is the description of the driver that is installed from https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x570-f-gaming-model/HelpDesk_Download : Version 6.0.8751.1 2019/08/22 197.49 MBytes Realtek Audio Driver Install Realtek Audio Driver. So iv'e got no idea if its the huge old driver model or the new UAD driver package. Maybe you do?
  3. Thats good to know, you might have just made my journey of solving this a whole lot easier, thanks.
  4. I helped my friend build his computer today. He got an Asus rog strix x570-F which audio wise is the same as my x470-F. So when I downloaded the audio driver to get the realtek audio console, the equaliser was missing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and it wasn't there again. I even downloaded the previous version and it still wasn't there. With my x470-F there is an equaliser and without it the audio sounds like complete garbage. However, my version of the realtek audio console is about a year older. Any clues or ideas on how to miraculously make the equaliser appear?
