I e also discovered my psu has protections such as OCP, OVP, SCP, OPP, OTP. No idea what this is or what it means.

Psu is confirmed dead. I just bridged the hot to ground with a paper clip and won’t turn on. There’s the ground level of the problem.

I haven’t slept in the past 48 hours from stress so I will do it after my long nap. Anxiety from this problem has been kicking my rear end. I’ll post updates after I have a verdict on the first step

Lol, I’ve already gotten it all taken apart. I’ll test it bits at a time. I’m new and rather take it slow.

I got it all out now, power supply was difficult. I’ll be testing it as soon as I get ahold of a paper clip

Alright, yeah, I’ve already started disassembling but disconnecting the power from the motherboard is difficult because the pins are so close to the psu. It won’t give. I’m afraid of breaking things but I have to do something

It’s honestly very depressing because this pc has been my pride and joy, been there for me and streaming and now I’ve got nothing. It’s saddening. That gpu is my last and only hope

RMA is out of question. I’ve already started disassembling it for preparations for short testing. Once you take it apart then you void any rma or warranty. Or atleast last time I knew.

I’ll try to test what I can but I’ll have my buddy test my RTX in his rig. I’ll have to find a paper clip but I’ll try to test the rest. My main concern is the GPU and the CPU. If they are okay then I’ll salvage them and rebuild everything else.

No warranty. Pc is about 3 years old now. The PSU is an FSP Dagger Pro Gold 650w. As for test benching outside the pc. I cannot. This is a prebuilt and I have no way of testing. I’m going to have a buddy of mine take my RTX and test it in his rig to make sure it’s still alive. i9 9900k RTX 2089 ti Ventus 11 gb 32 gb ram. here. It’s an MSI trident X plus 9th gen. if the GPU is still alive then I’m just going to do a full rebuild and say forget it. The GPU is the most expensive hardware and if it’s okay then I’ll be happy as can be.

I didn’t mean to solve this. I hope not either. That’s why I’m scared but it seems like the motherboard is trying to post and all the fans are trying to turn on.

I had 2 layers of surge protectors. I had a UPS which a built in surge and another extension with a surge which the pc was plugged into.

I can’t. this is a prebuilt pc. I have no idea what is going on. We had a surge earlier today but it was running fine afterwards, it was after it was shut down that it wouldn’t boot up again.
