He told me once the card is under load the fans max out on the card and it pretty much shuts down doesn't display anything and has to reset the computer.
-
He said that when he plays games and puts the card under load the fans max out then the card basically shuts down his screen goes off ect, however he can still heard audio and stuff like the computer is still running just not displaying. Therefore I believe it's overheating, however I could be wrong but from what he's saying that's what it sounds like.

Hey there, so I've got a friend who has an RTX 2070 Super, he's currently experiencing crashes and from what it seems like his GPU is overheating, so my first thought is to try a thermal paste reapply as the card is about 2 years old now and has had heavy use over those 2 years. I'm just looking for recommendations on what type of thermal compound to use, thanks!

Hello, my father recently just got a new laptop and he’s been experiencing a TDR Failure error at least 3 times a day, his system is an i7 and a 3060 I believe. Now he’s tried all the mainstream troubleshooting options such as a complete wipe and reinstall of drivers, power management changes, etc. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix or prevent this issue I’d love to hear it.

Hello, I’m not exactly sure if this is allowed and if it isn’t all good to delete it, but I’m in search of a receiver that can do 5 zones for a friend, know I know there are much easier ways then finding one of these but this person keeps insisting on a receiver. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know price isn’t really a factor cause I’m not the one buying it but I’d prefer to not give options that aren’t a fortune, thanks.
-
Okay, that was my guess I just wanted some clarification, thanks!

Hello, I recently just got a new ROG B-550 board and I plan to replace my old ROG B-450 one (Due to shipping damage), now I’ve heard in some cases this can mess up windows and make me need to buy a new license key which I don’t mind doing if need, but I’ve heard that if the board swap is super advanced like going from an MSI one to Gigabyte, you might have this problem. However I’ve also heard using similar boards or ones from the same manufacturer can not show these problems, since I’m still going to be using a very similar ROG board, should I expect this problem? Also is there any other problems that could occur?

So for the last month or so I've been having an issue with my wired connection on my computer, so for example I wake up in the morning and turn on my computer and on it's first boot it gives me the unrecognized network error, then if I turn it off and back on it fixes itself and I'm connected again. Now this isn't exactly a bad thing since I can connect to my internet still but it's very annoying. I have tried reinstalling my network drivers and updated my motherboard bios, I've also reset my network settings a few times and had no luck. If anyone has any ideas or questions let me know!

Yeah okay, I was more or less just wondering how he came to the conclusion that if his board was rated at 2.5gb, he'd only be able to pull 250mbps regardless of his internet plan. But thank you for the clarification -

My only 2 recommendation would be either reinstalling your actual lan drivers, sometimes that works but it's not often. You could also trying doing a bios update if you don't have the most recent one, if you're not running the most recent one it could explain why you're running such slow speeds, other than that I can't exactly think of anything else you could try that you haven't done yet. -

Wait hold on this is confusing the hell out of me, if his motherboard is rated at 2.5gb lan, then theoretically shouldn't he be able to run up to 2.5gb speeds? I might be wrong but if so what you said doesn't make a lot of sense. -
Just replying to this thread wondering if anyone has found a fix yet, I just switched to Telus Pure Fiber and am having this issue, if you have a fix please help.
-
Yes you can but you only get a choice via region not server so like NA-West, NA-East, EU. You can't physically select the server you want to connect to. My problem is that I'm connecting to the incorrect server in my region. I'll link another thread posted a few months ago to better explain my issue. Also just a quick note I've tried the suggestions left on that thread but haven't had any luck.

I noticed there was a thread for this a few months ago and I just recently switch to Telus Pure Fiber and it seems to be routing me to the incorrect server I should be playing on us.west-2 (Oregon) but for some reason I get routed to either us.west-1 (North California) or eu.west-2 (Ireland). Since I'm getting routed to the wrong server I seem to be getting a lot high ping times which is very noticeable. If anyone has a fix for this other than switching ISPs please help.
