  1. All on my local machine. I wouldnt think graphical power would be in play here but regardless I have a 1080TI so more than plenty. I have a feeling there is some sort of bottleneck with windows but Im not sure.
  2. If I turn "automatic calculation" to off, it can handle it with no problem. If I turn it to automatic (which is needed) it cant handle it. Its a lot of data and formulas....like 10k rows and 135 columns. All together (x 25) thats like 35 million. Just odd that it says 64 threads calculating but the CPU utility is so low.
  3. So as the title reads, I need to work with 25+ instances of excel with tons of formulas and data in each instance. I have a powerful setup with an AMD 3970x Threadripper, 80GB+ of TridentZ RAM, Samsung EVO SSD, etc. But even with this setup it just cant process everything quickly. Now here is also something worth mentioning...I have assigned via python script each instance of excel to a different processing core on my CPU (32 cores), but still no luck, its agonizingly slow. Oddly the CPU is not even above 15% utility when calculating. So I dont quite get how it can be slow but not using all the CPU power or even close to max. I'm curious where the bottleneck is. Its also not the memory which is below 10GB utility. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work? Is there some setting, code, hardware set up that could get this running? Thanks in advance.
