  1. Was just expecting it to come in a box, not just a plastic sleeve
  2. Just recieved this Motherboard delightfully dumped on my doorstep from Amazon. Really poorly packed not external box etc. Are Motherboards resilient to being chucked around by couriers? Would you accept or return? Companies are so hit and miss with their packaging.. I get a £8.99 plug that's wrapped up like it's gold in bubble wrap and boxed - then this!
  3. Thanks, although I was thinking if the neighbour had powerlines there may be bleed if running near. Probably highly unlikely though..
  4. Hi, Looking to possibly run some old TP Link Homeplug Powerline adapters from 2013 to my new build. Think they came with a basic form of encryption (hold a button run round to the other adapter!) I'm just wondering if you need to run the encrypton over the circuit at all? Highly unlikely someone's going to sniff packets over the electrical wire in my house before getting to router? Advice appreciated..
  5. # Do you think the RX5700XT is worth the £70 premium for gaming? I will probably change whole system in 5 years? #

  7. Thanks. Does flashing the Bios invalidate the warranty?
  8. Hi Running a Ryzen 5 3600 B450m 2x8GB 3200 DDR4 512GB Nvme 650w 80G PSU 1440p 144HZ 27 Monitor Looking for an AMD GPU for general and gaming. Options are MSI 5700 Gaming X for £309.99 and Powercolor 5700XT Red Dragon for £379.97 ?
  9. I've already got the CPU, would I really seen a great advantage if I returned to Amazon and got the 3600x ?
  10. Yes the more I research the more complex the choices become! When do you stop waiting for new tech! The monitors AMD Freesynce so am best with Radeon GPU I think. I've already got the CPU, would I really seen a great advantage if I returned to Amazon and got the 3600x ? Thanks
  11. OK thanks. Was slightly unsure of the timings of building now, but as i'm not looking to upgrade for some considerable time I guess it's less of an issue. I opened the MOBO box and noticed that the seal was broken, so will be sending that back to Amazon. Have ordered the B450m Mortar Max as replacement, not in stock at the moment; so if it doesn't come back - I can possibly wait until B550m. Will the B550m boards work with Ryzen 5 3600 chips?
  12. Hi, I'm new to PC building and have just got the following parts for my first build: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard - ASRock B450M Steel Legend SSD - Sabrent Rocket 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME RAM - Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory GPU - PowerColor RX 5700 XT 8 GB Red Dragon PSU - Corsair TXM Gold 650 W 80+Gold Case - Fractal Design Meshify C Mini Monitor - AOC Q27G2U 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz I was planning to keep the PC for 5 - 6 years as a general PC and to do some gaming at 1440p. Do you think that the GPU is overkill ? I had the option of a RX5700 MSI gaming X for £70 pounds less. Just found out that B450 will not be supporting Zen 3. Does this matter if I'm looking to upgrade in 5 - 6 years ? Is it worth returning MOBO to get B450m Mortar Max as has bigger bios chip, and may leave me able to upgrade CPU in future - if AMD change their stance? Been gaming on a PS4, and my NUC i5 is 6 years old. In my mid 40's so lots of things have changes since I built a PC 20 years ago! Thanks.
