Ray tracing depends on games. It’s mostly present in games where there are flashes of light everywhere. I didn’t play cyberpunk but I’m sure the game looks amazing in ray tracing. I played Watchdogs and ray tracing is really good there when it’s set at ultra. To be fair, even the 3090 rtx can’t run cyberpunk at 60fps average with ray tracing on and ray tracing is best set at ultra with dlss set on quality to really see beautiful graphics. That said, I only saw ray tracing worth it on the above games I mentioned, other games don’t really show impressive ray tracing. Some people think ray tracing is gimmiky, and not necessary. I kinda think that too because it is not revolutionary. Think about it as an added filter to improve the graphics, but not drastic. Assassin creed Valhalla doesn’t have ray tracing and that is had the best graphics I’ve seen even better than RDR2.

I did the trick and it is the first one on the left. I was thinking to fix it myself since it’s faster than shipping it and you know also they might say there’s nothing wrong with it...when I pressed it on the center, the sound disappeared. I’m tryin to know why did it stop now after pressing on it? Is it becoming loose?

It’s a new 2080ti with triple fans and I used it for 4 months. Fans would make a squeaky noise if only I make them work at any rate higher than 80% and I used it for 80% to 85% since the beginning and only for gaming for about 5 hours a day. Any rate under that is fine and it won’t make noises. I suspect it’s either the fan on the right or left making the noise, not the middle one. I’ve cleaned any dust on them (there was barely any) and checked if fans hit the gpu body or anything else, but they seem fine. What could possibly make the fans squeak? I’m thinking of a dying fan since I always keep the fans at a high rate when gaming. If so, where can I buy spare Asus 2080ti fans? How do I exactly know which fan is making the noise? I’m also thinking of dry fans and since my room is very dry, but I don’t think there was oil on them anyway since I bought the graphics card.

so boot up from a flash drive, but that would overwrite Windows. Isn't there a way to fully delete what is in the drive then bootup from flash drive?

I have one drive only that has Windows 10 in it. If I go through the recovery option in Windows, the best one there will delete everything, but it will keep Windows. I want to wipe out everything in the drive including Windows and download it from a flash drive. If I go through the CMD and type diskpart > list disk > disk 0 > clean, I am not sure what this one will do. I also saw people where they don't format their drive from Windows recovery options, they just plug in the flash drive and overwrite Windows, but I want to reset the drive like the a new drive out of the box.

The current market for a decent 4k gaming monitor is really vacant. The closest to being a perfect monitor is the monitor I have tried last week and about to return which is the Asus XG27U. It has everything a gamer could ask for except its HDR which is pointless I'll be returning it because of the vertical line that appeared after using it for just 5 days. I could rebuy it again, but it was actually small (played on 3440x1440 for quite sometime now), so I'd rather to buy another one with these specs: at least 4k resolution, 32", 120hz refresh rate, and 600 HDR. All panels are welcomed except TN and VA. Now I know Acer and Asus are gonna release their $3,500 32" 4k monitors with 120hz refresh rate. Sounds like the perfect monitor, but it is so expensive and it is not even OLED. There is also another one coming from MSI similar to the one I mentioned, but its an LCD IPS panel unlike the Asus's and Acer's FLAD monitors. Any words on what happened to those monitors? I thought they will be released this year. Perhaps you've heard of other 4k monitors coming this year or already out on the market you could mention them here. Thanks.

32" 4k monitors are being produced now by Asus and Acer with +1000 HDR, Gsync, and all of the extreme features you get for +$3500. I can't justify this price. It is too much for a 4k monitor, but those made by Asus and Acer are OLED I think. Still I wouldn't buy them...knowing that 8k could be a thing in the future and I move around a lot so not suitable for me. I am looking for a 4k monitor with 1000HDR, Asus released one two years ago for around $2500 but that one is 27". So I still didn't find the right one yet.

I see your point, I do have enough distance so it seems that I better go with 32"

Has anyone seen the difference between the two? Or at least can have an educated guess about them? What would be the perfect size for a 4k monitor? I remember gaming on a 27" at 1080p and it was ugly as games look dull.

I am sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. I just wanted to know what other 2080ti users are going to do once the 3090 is out in the market. Are they buying or holding off? Just sharing thoughts

So you might have 9900k or 10900 and a 2080ti and you might want to upgrade your graphics card to get a sweet gaming experience on 4k at 120hz. This upgrade hurts a lot haha. The 3090 would run perfectly on PCIe 4.0 and according to Nvidia, you'll lose a couple of percentages in performance if you run the 3090 on PCIe 3.0. It is a let down that the 10900k such an amazing CPU that doesn't support PCIe 4.0. So, we have to wait for the next cpu to get the full potential of the 3090. So there are a couple of options here: 1. Go ahead and buy the 3090 knowing that you'd lose some performance 2. Wait until Intel releases their newest 11th gen + motherboards with PCIe 4.0 and DDR5 support I always wanted to play RDR2 at max settings with all filters on. So I might actually buy the GPU now and upgrade the cpu and motherboard later.

It is really strange seeing the recent Intel CPU lineup not supporting PCIe 4.0 and the next lineup of Nvidia cards all require us to have 4.0 PCIe. I myself own 10900k,a great CPU, but can't upgrade my graphics card. I need a new CPU, motherboard, and the graphics card. Next we will also have motherboards with DDR5. So if you're looking at the new RTX 3090, you need a heavy upgrade.

Upon inspection on CPU-Z, it shows that only one ram is XMP capable (the last one), and the first 3 aren't. So, I manually adjusted the first 3 to match the last one. But their values are still the same on CPU-Z, they didn't change just like the photo im showing before and after OCing, they are the same. What I get now is 17 17 17 37 @1.35v 4000mhz. Does this mean that Gskillz is not guaranteed to sell XMP ready rams? That would be silly if they did that...

the vccio and sa were set to auto and the vccio is bove 1.2 (vccio around 1.29) and the sa above 1.1. I was able to get a stable system performance at 3200mhz @1.35v while gaming. I think I need more time testing this frequency. It is strange that you don't get the advertised speed even if your motherboard is compatible with...

yeah but why wouldn't the xmp work? if it was listed compatible then why doesn't work?

Also, they are both Samsung bdie, and I don't think that Samsung bdie produced in 2018 will differ with the ones produced in 2020..

Also, both kits show that they are compatible with the mobo on the Gkillz website, that's rubbish...
