  1. Okay but even if they DO release a stable version how am I meant to update? Should I just go back to the 3800x you think that would let me back into BIOS?
  2. Specs: MSI MPG x570 Gaming Plus Mobo EVGA GTX 1070 SC Corsair 750 PSU 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM 1TB SSD (Trying to install a second as well) Ryzen 7 5800x (Previous was Ryzen 7 3800x) Okay so to start I updated my Bios to the latest MSI offered download 7C37vAC3 All was fine after I updated my BIOS I installed the Ryzen 7 5800x along with the Hyper 212 RGB fan. Upon first boot I had an EZ Debug LED light on with no boot. The light illuminated was CPU I reinstalled the CPU w/ Fan of course. This time I had an EZ Debug LED light but this time it was the DRAM light with no boot. I removed a ram stick leaving only the one in the DIMM 2 Slot It went through its process of EZ Debug lights even pausing on a few and the computer booted. I tried switching RAM to the other stick and it booted again so my RAM is good. Computer WILL NOT boot unless the stick is in the DIMM 2 slot I tried all others. I can NOT get into bios, IF I spam the DEL key which is the MSI one to get into BIOS the computer will not boot. (Lights are on and everything but my monitors are blank) I can spam any other key and this doesn't disrupt the process. I've removed the MOBO Battery and held power button to reset it (Yes with the PC Unplugged) Adding/Removing my new M.2 SSD Doesn't change my result nor does it show it anywhere. My one stick of ram is showing a speed of 2133MHz although its rated for 3200MHz I haven't tried to put the 3800x back in yet to see what happens but I'd like to know if theres any other ideas to try.
  3. Bold statement! I will trust you, I wont buy from Fry's haha or rather I won't have my buddy buy from Fry's. Didn't really think about Best Buy either. Will consider it!
  4. Kinda realized that, Checked Frys and most things are out of stock so that's out of the question, Thank you!
  5. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Kidman94/saved/qDHTJx Also this is the current list I've revised based on suggestion, I'm not sure If I can do better, I left room for keyboard and mouse
  6. Budget (including currency): $1800 Country: USA (California) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: : Various games from new games coming out to old ones already out. (I know battlefield will be a potential game he gets as well as maybe like the Forza horizon, Dirt 5 etc) Other details: So I made a thread and got good feedback when my buddy was willing to spend $1350 on a new rig. His price has since changed to $1800 and id like to know some ideas maybe even just some upgrades of the original ideas I got from the previous thread listed HERE. He's starting from scratch into the PC world so I'm trying to get him setup. He needs everything including mouse and keyboard (Preferably mechanical leave out of build if no suggestion) He would like to have 2 monitors now. I'm looking to get him setup to go decently into the future with this build. As I know AMD has stepped up their game and the Intel fanboy in me wants to build Intel, I know that's not cost effective or even better at this point. Lastly, We live nearby a Fry's electronics. Whatever list may be shared would it potentially be cheaper to walk in there and grab everything or what's the experience on that? Thank you for the help in advance.
  7. Sorry to bump but I have an update on the price. $1800 dollars is the spending price now but he would like to have a second monitor. I'd like to get another idea or beef up the above sent in builds? Also keep in mind we've gotta include the mouse n keyboard
  8. Also when you say the X570 is this something you would of had in mind?
  9. I'd have to agree, I haven't built a PC since 2012 I've just done upgrades to mine, Definitely had to be less narrow minded than I was going into this. Originally I went into this with the idea of Intel and it fell flat on it's face. AMD has surely made the scene in a big and cheaper way. I can appreciate this and if he ends up building that exact build I'll surely let you know.
  10. Wow thank you! I'll be sending this his way, That's cheaper than I was coming up with
  11. I appreciate that Ill see what I can work with!
  12. Budget (including currency): $1350 could go a little more if needed. Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Various games from new games coming out to old ones already out. (I know battlefield will be a potential game he gets as well as maybe like the Forza horizon, Dirt 5 etc) Other details: Okay so I've convinced a buddy of mine to finally get a PC and hes working with a budget of what's stated above and he needs everything. Looking to run 1 Monitor for now, keyboard (Preferably mechanical? If not can be upgraded later) and mouse. hes mentioned he could be willing to bump it up to $1500. Also would need to buy a copy of Windows 10! Thanks for your help in advance.
