  1. Yep, I will be doing some CAD work I believe. All I’ve found out so far is that I need a dedicated graphics card, nothing more.
  2. The Legion was looking very attractive to me, I just wasn’t sure. I can always have an external hard drive and back up to the cloud if needed. Thank you for the advice so far!
  3. I forgot to add in the original post (will add in edit now) that my school are looking to go digital this term due to the current situation so I would be looking to purchase a laptop now that will last me through my engineering course. I have a very basic desktop at the minute so I would be wanting to sell that and switch to a laptop as soon as possible. But thank you for that info, I will have a look into that now
  4. Good Evening all, I am currently a student in sixth form in the UK. Next year I hope to study an aerospace engineering apprenticeship. For this I need to buy a laptop with a dedicated graphics card and a biggish CPU. My school are looking to go digital this term (no paper work, all online work for class) due to the current situation so I would be looking to purchase a laptop now that will last me through my engineering course. I have a very basic desktop at the minute so I would be wanting to sell that and switch to a laptop as soon as possible. I’ve made a spreadsheet of a few laptops that look like they’ve met my requirements, I’m stuck between which one is best though so could anyone give me a bit more expert advice? My budget is around the £1,000 mark. I realise I won’t be able to tick every single box but which one overall is good for an engineering student with a bit of coding and gaming in my spare time? Many thanks guys
