  1. I have an Enermax CPU cooler. The fan (Enermax ED122512H-PD) is quite loud, so I got a new one from Noctua (NF-F12 PWM) and the results are pretty stunning in my opinion: CPU temperature Enermax fan on average while idling: 31°C; Enermax fan velocity on average while idling: 1,244 RPM CPU temperature Noctua fan on average while idling: 26°C; Noctua fan velocity on average while idling: 605 RPM (room temperature: about 23,5°C; measurements taken with HWiNFO) I did not expect these results, so I had to share them. My PC is (obviously) a lot quieter as well!
  2. For context: my friends and I were having an argument the other day. They said that it's dumb to store documents, videos, music etc. on a SSD because it unnecessarily wears down the life span of the SSD. Furthermore they said it only makes sense to install programms, games etc. on a SSD and you should store documents, videos, music on a regular hard drive. I think that it doesn't matter, where you store your documents, videos, music etc. because modern day SSD's have such a long life span and I'd like to profit from the faster read and write speed an SSD comes along with. What's your opinion on this?
