How?

I’ve just tried plugging in the vga wire into the motherboard with the gpu plugged in but screen is just black but when the gpu is not in it works with the motherboard graphics

I’ve used a 6+2 pin connecter could that be a problem

No I’m not able to because of this lockdown but the gpu turns on like the fans spin

My motherboard is a msi PH61A-P35 (B3)

I only have 1 x16 slot

Yes motherboard has a vga connection. So what should I do to Check if it picking up the hardware

Monitor input choice is on auto and I’m quite sure the HDMI is plugged in correctly because it works perfectly fine on my old gpu

I have recently just bought a gigabyte rtx 2060 windforce oc Rev 2.0 and once I’ve put it into the motherboard and connected the HDMI and psu I turn on the pc but there is jus a black screen and after a while it says there is no HDMI detected. Have a 600w psu cooler master silent pro and a old motherboard with a pcie gen 2 x16 slots. Don’t know what the problem is.
