  1. The b550 boards we have here atm are pretty expencive compared to the x470. Im just worried that if i go with the b450 ill loose an upgrade path to ryzen 4000 series. As far as i know only the 500 series boards are officially supporting them burt im pretty sure the x470 series will get a bios update, the b450 im a little sceptical about. As for the cpu options if i go 3600 i pay about 50% more than the bundels i listed. The plan was to go 3300x but SA only has 3100 for now.
  2. Thanks dude ill remember to add region and conversion rates in my future posts. Yes i agree those prices are not very good but we pay import tax on tech somewhere in the high 40% range and from my shopping arround even amazon is more expencive after i add import taxes and shipping . But thanks for the advice, ill make sure to order 2x4gb sticks.
  3. That was my plan originally but there is a rumor going around saying they the are shutting down due to the pandemic and some tax stuff. Hence the R3000 discount on those bundles. Any recommendations on those bundles i posted?
  4. Hi guys i hope this is the correct place to post this. Im looking into upgrading my current gaming/studies pc from an i5 4670k and 16gb ddr3 to a amd ryzen based system. I play a bunch of AAA titles as well as some indie games. Im studying mechanical engineering so i will be working with flow and stress simulations in Siemens nx 12 next year. The delema im stuck with though is weather i should go for a 2700x with 8gb 3200mhz klevv ram or a 1600af with 16gb 3200mhz vengence rgb. There is only a small price difference between the 2 and i dont know if 8gb is enough. i could upgrade the 2700x to 16gb but the ram would run at 2666mhz. My question basically is should a take the 1600, save a bit of of money and upgrade the cpu in a few years or should a go for the 2700x to "futureproof" myself and look at the ram in a year or so(if option 2 please recommend a ram choice). 5. Oky thanks appreciate it. I just want to make sure if this is true or false. One of the posts said if you mix 4gb and 8gb sticks the 8gb stick will be split into 2 4gb partitions with one running in dual channel with the actual 4gb stick and the other 4gb running in single channel. is this true?
  6. Hi guys i finally joined the forum after years of watching LTT. I hope you guys can help me with this issue. There seems to be a lot of mixed results online and its mostly for ddr4 and not ddr3. So to the question: I have 2 sticks of hyperx fury 1333mhz ram in my system that i keep clocked at 1600mhz. Id like to know if i would have any issue with if i added 2 more sticks of adata 1600 mhz to my system. (all sticks are 4gb modules) Im running a i5 4670k (at stock for the moment) on a asrock z87 extream 3 mobo with a gtx 1060 3gb. Thanks in advance.
