Hi Do you think the Titan X (Maxwell) is running a bit hot & needs the Thermal Paste changed or just leave it I ran Furmark just for 2 mins i don't know if these results are good, didn't want to do it for too long in-case the Titan x stops working Case Thermaltake Core V51 (2 front fans, 1 back fan) I picked up a Titan X for £70 as Sniper Elite 4 & Arma 3 was really choppy at 1080p Ultra (Anti-Aliasing Off)on the R9 270x (2gb) which Ive had since 2013 Have to say the Titan X runs SE4 & Arma amazing at 1080p Ultra (Anti-Aliasing Off) really smooth for hours without any hiccups, heard this card can be temperamental & go out with a bang as its a founders edition fan version

Right Friends, Thank you for all your helps, the reason why i don't want to install windows from scratch as im running Win 10 lite, and ive switched off many MServices so that games run' better and the reason i use large fonts & colours its easier for people to read when section are colour coded So i used AOMEI Backupper & it did the trick So Ive took the 5,400 rpm HDD out and booted with the m.2, now i dont know if the m.2 drive needs setting up ive put a few photos of my Bios in and the CrystalDiskInfo results Now i dont know if those benchmark results are any good because ive set the wrong modes or the actual M.2 is rubbish, but must'nt complain its better than the HDD before i suppose I also have another PC desktop running Win10 lite (ROG Strix B450-F Ryzen 3600, Titan X maxwell G2 nova Gold PSU, 650w, 16gb Crucial Ballistix 3000) which has a 250gb 7200rpm HDD so will put a better m.2 drive in that one from samsung Thanks again

Hi Bit of a problem I was using a Temporary cheap laptop 320gb HDD (5,400rpm) in my PC (r5 1600x 16gb 270x) until i got a m.2 drive (256gb) but when trying to clone its saying destination drive is too small even thought i'm using only 36Gb of the 5,400 rpm HDD, does that mean i cant clone the HDD and will have to use Rufus, take out the HDD & install Win10 again from scratch onto m.2 something i would like to avoid or is there another option program i can use Thanks

I kinda asked on another forum, and they say said the Titan X should be fine as many have been running the 980ti with the W1 series. so i used my initiative as the PSU has been good for many years, put the Titan X in installed drivers.. Ran a Sniper Elite 4 at 1080P ultra (for 4 hrs) and it ran effortlessy at 60fps could finally shoot joints on cranes without it becoming a choppy mess. (in the case of 270x) I have since uninstalled the game & Titan X and DDU the drivers, put in the 270x back in, and will still upgrade the PSU seen a new 650w GQ gold at a good price thanks again

Oh ok..... been using it with the r270x (2gb) for the past 7 yrs no problem... will keep the r270x in for now (new system) do some research on what inexpensive PSU will be suffice to run the Titan

I did disable monitoring (pic 1) Set Fan Curve to 50% (pic 2) It seems to have done the trick, but i wanted to check monitor the temps in the OS so i fresh installed Win7 all seems good as when i stress tested the CPU for 10 mins temps go upto 58c and after stopping the test the cpu temp returns to 34c, so im assuming all is ok

Hi Ive replaced my old CPU/Motherboad/Ram/Cooler Sandybridge i7 16gb ddr3 NH-L9i Asus Maximus IV Extreme With Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Ryzen 3600 16gb ddr4 NH-L9a-AM4 previous version of Win 7 did not support USB 3 and so ive got a new vesion on Win 7 with support for that. Now i dont have any OS installed yet but i do get a CPU Fan error at start up (see pic 1) and the CPU temp seems to go up to 53c Sometimes the CPU fan starts up on first boot while othertimes it doesnt could the problem be CPU Fan Header in wrong connection... Bios needs update...its showing v4602 install OS first and check temps in CPU-z Needs Undervolting slighty any help appreciated thanks

DDU and tryed installing Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.12.1 Optional (WHQL) but at 80% black screen & restart with corrupted pattern display for 2 secs after each restart (see first pic) I then used DDU and installed WHOL 17.30.1041 R4 (just the GPU driver nothing else) which installed 100% but playing a video file black screen & restart with corrupted pattern display for 2 secs I can run the GPU Test and sometimes i get a black screen while other times it runs the entire benchmark temps reached 72c which i stopped incase GPU overheats (see pic) Heaven Benchmark low settings (see pics) DX9 11 or openGL the benchmark starts for 2 secs and then same problem GPU fans spinning normally now with driver WHOL 17.30.1041 R4 installed yet in safe mode video files play perfectly but i cant run any benchmarks due to having no display drives ive already repasted GPU TIM would downgrading to Windows 7 64 bit help or Heatgun the bare GPU board or flashing up/down the GPU Bios or anything else i could try

Sapphire pulse radeon rx 560 2gb (6 pin power) version brought this card but seems to get a black screen and restart when running a app or video file after installing drivers Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.12.1 Optional (WHQL) also the GPU graphics card spins but as soon as it enters the Win 10 desktop they stop spinning for good but if i run the PC in safe mode the fans keep spinning as normal in Win 10 so i used DDU and now they are spinning in desktop but i cant run any GPU benchmarks as i need a graphics driver (UNIGINE Benchmarks starts up but pauses at loading screen) Ive replaced the thermal paste and the temps look ok so far Ive uploaded some photos you can check at the moment ive not got any drivers installed and its running good i can run 2 mp4 videos at the same time and run gpuz (not showing temps) and hwinfo64. Im assuming am getting the black screen and restart due to fans not spinning with drivers installed is this GPU faulty or do i need try a different driver PSU is coolermaster RP500 watt any more help or photos you need just ask

Thanks for the quick response , Since my P8700 is Socket P 1066Mhz 3MB cache 25w TDP I'll take a punt and purchase the Q9000 @ 2.0Ghz with 1066 Mhz FSB 6MB cache 45W as its the lowest spec quad core socket p cpu which would give me 4c/4t you can also get a Q9100 @2.26 GHz 12MB cache 45w TDP (£50), QX9300 @2.5 GHz 12MB cache 45w TDP (£60) these have higher clock speeds and more cache but consume a lot more heat and battery power and may not work and its not really worth spending too much if your not not pushing the cpu much. If it dont work then i can always put the P8700 back in, as the SSD would be more than enough to give the system a boost.

Hi I have a older laptop Precision m4400 P8700 6Gb Ram 250Gb 5,400rpm Fx 770m win 7 x64 9.5v PSU adapter Im about to upgrade to a Kingston 250gb SSD, and move to Linux Mint, but ive realised I can pick up a Q9000 cpu for about £30 since i was going to apply to TIM to both the cpu and gpu, i might as well upgrade to a Q9000. Im mostly going to be web browsing Firefox and maybe a bit of light 720p video edting Handbrake, Avidemux Would the upgrade be any benefit, I know its quad core, but its clocked lower 2.0Ghz against the 8700 2.53 Ghz also should i overclock the Q9000 to 2.53 Ghz and would i need a more powerful PSU adapter Thanks
