The M.A.D. Jeweler's Achievements

  1. - Need help with a parts list - Never built a pc before, but it seems like gaming/streaming pc are really great for 3d renderings. - I'm looking to build something around $600 - $1000 USD - I would like for it to have room for future upgrades... so that it can last at least a decade or longer. - Or - Is it better to build a decent one right off the bat and just replace it down the line? - Planning to use it mainly for my art and metalsmith designing, 3d printing, cnc/laser printing, web browsing, video editing, and maybe get into leisure gaming and streaming. - is it possible to use a flat screen tv as a monitor? Bc i have two stored in a closet... but I guess eventually I would want a pc monitor? - I'm not really sure what OS to use, open to suggestions, but i'm guessing windows? - I have plans for the computer parts to be mounted and displayed on a wall instead of a tower... any opinions for, or against this?... - We have our phone devices and the only pc is a laptop that's a 2009 MacBook Pro for over 10 years now. I've replaced the SSD and RAM... but it's just about time to upgrade to something more substantial. So yeah... that's the extent of my pc build experience. - I've been watching youtube videos to learn how to build a pc, (that's how I discovered this forum) and I've been on pcpartspicker.com to play around with the parts combinations, but it's just a little overwhelming still. - Like, how do you know if all the parts will work and look aesthetically pleasing together if I am planning to mount it openly on a wall in my studio? - Are there any important questions that I should be asking?
