  1. My 2 month old hdd is making this noise every now and then. Sometimes it stops for a while and then continues minutes/hours later. On hdd Sentinel its health is at 100%. I've scanned it multiple times for bad sectors and none of them have been found. Should I be worried? HDD Clicking Sound.mp4
  2. I'm transfering my google authonticator accounts to my new phone. Unfortunately I have to transfer them 1 by 1 because of a reason which is completely irrelevant to this topic so i'm not going to talk about it. I couldn't find the "Remove/Disable 2FA" on 1 of my accounts so I contacted the support team of that website. They asked for my ip address for verification purposes. Isn't that weird? Why would they need my ip in order to verify me? Is it safe to share my ip address with them? The site is not a scam or something, it's a gambling site which I have used in the past and is 100% legit. But I am still concerned about sharing my ip, there are other ways I could verify myself, for example via a phone number or an email address. Any thoughts? All the answers are much appreciated!
  3. I edited my answer, you probably didn't notice, my bad. It actually occurs for a similar sector. When I try watching a movie it works fine. I only face issues after the burning process is done, during the "verifying sectors" process. At this point I think I should mention that this device is usb 2.0 but i have it connected on a usb 3.0 port. I read on google that it doesn't matter, i just thought i should let you know.
  4. It occurs for a similar sector. Do you think I can fix it?
  5. I've had this device for 4+ years and i've never dropped it. The cable should be fine too. Rip i guess. Thank you for your help!
  6. I've already tried it, i've even tried using another program nothing works. :C
  7. My DVD burner was always working perfectly until recently. Everytime I try burning data I get the same error as you can see on the screenshot below. Also i've noticed that I only get this error during the "verifying sectors" process, the burning process goes through without any problems. Any advice? DVD Burner Model : SAMSUNG DVD-RW SE-S084C
  8. Thank you for your answer. My ssd is only 120gigabytes and only costs about 15 dollars. I bought it because i just wanted windows to load fast. If we were talking about an expensive ssd I would follow your suggestions but it's not worth it to get into that process just for an 120 gigabyte ssd. Furthermore, i don't think i got the knowledge to do what you told me to do but i really appreciate your help!
  9. I did check the windows update history. The most recent update was applied 8 days ago. Anyway if nothing else occurs i'll probably not replace the drive. I really appreciate your help!
  10. I've already run chkdsk and no problems were found! Also i didn't apply any other changes. So there is nothing else wrong. My pc is a prebuilt because I am not really comfortable with hardware. I prefer coding.
  11. Don't ask me how, but i somehow managed to connect a molex cable the wrong way. Smoke started coming out of my pc, I immediately shut everything down. The molex to sata cable was melted so I got a new one and plugged it in correctly. Everything seemed to be working properly but a few hours later I noticed that something's wrong with my ssd's temperature. Before connecting the molex the wrong way the temperature was about 35C, now it's about 45-50C. Also I left my pc on overnight and when i woke up my pc had restarted by itself. According to hard disk sentinel log files my ssd at some point during the night reached a temperature of 71C and that's probably the reason it restarted but I can't be sure. Today the drive has lower temperature but it keeps changing constantly from 35C to 45C and sometimes even 50C. There isn't any important data stored in this drive, only the windows installation and some programs that i can download again, so i am not really worried about the drive dying. Any suggestions? Do you think i should replace my drive or could there be something else causing it to overheat? Any help is much appreciated!!
  12. Hello there, I have been coding for a few years but I am not very familiar with hardware, pc building etc. I would like to connect a hard drive to my computer but there are no sata ports available. I read that the best way to "add" sata ports is by using a sata card. It would be really helpfull if you could suggest me some. I don't want it to cost more than $100, which i think is way too much for a sata card, anyway. This is my motherboard : https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H110M-PRO-VH/Specification Keep in my mind that my PCI-E X16 is already being used. Also please make sure that the sata card is compatible with my motherboard. (Please provide me a link to the suggested card) Any help is much appreciated!!
