  1. Well hey I appreciate it. You were super quick to answer too and I appreciate that a lot because this was time sensitive. Thank you so much!
  2. Wow. I um...I can’t believe that worked. Thank you. Do you know why?
  3. Yes I tried the each end I haven’t tried the inner ones though. I can do that but should I do it with or without gpu?
  4. So I’m building a computer for a friend. Everything looks to be in order but I can’t get the display to show anything. The build is an: CPU: i5-9400f Motherboard: Asrock B365M Pro4 GPU: Rx 580 RAM: 1 stick of Corsair 16gb storage: Samsung 500gb evo ssd Power supply: corsair CX550M I tried everything from the main thread but no joy. I have rgb and fan spin even on the gpu so I think that’s good there. I have a suspicion it’s the PSU. When I start it up it turns off for about 2 seconds and turns back on on it’s own but still no post. Can anyone confirm or know anything more to help me out? Edit: I also should mention I don’t have any sound come out of the device either. No beeps or anything. Just the fans spinning.
  5. Not gonna lie, I don't know where I got the bronze from. I guess I assumed they followed the same system of bronze, gold, platinum etc. It's a CX750M.
  6. Recently I purchased a 2070Super, and after a day my computer quite working. Ethernet light was still on, and peripherals still had lights, but when I tried to press power, light on the GPU and the fans would spin for a half second before they quite. I even tried leaving it unplugged and switched off for 10-15 minutes with no success. I chalked it up to the power supply, or at least I am hoping that is the case. The one I have coming on the way is a Corsair 750M 80+ Bronze. The one I had previously was an EVGA 600W B. Will the Corsair be a good supply to go with? I know it offers enough power, when I checked the amount for an i5-9600k and a 2070Super it clocked at around 430W, so that isn't my issue, I just want to know if my performance will get hit with this power supply? edit: I guess I should mention, I didn't have light on my mouse, but I did on my USB hub when I talk about peripherals.
  7. So like the title says my computer does not turn on. To start I should mention I upgraded to a 2070 super but here are the specs: CPU - i5-9600k GPU - RTX 2070Super Motherboard - Asrock z370pro RAM - Team T-Force Vulcan 16GB Storage - Samsung EVO 1tb SSD EVGA 650W Power supply A couple things. Firstly, I know I have less then stellar stuff. Secondly, I know that the EVGA power supply was a roll of the dice going in and I assume that is the problem. I just wanted to confirm to see if anyone else knows this to be the problem because I already ordered a Corsair 750W power supply(I know I don't need that much power, but it was the only one that will ship in my area within a decent timeframe.) that you can see here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-cx-series-modular-cx750m-750w-80-plus-bronze-atx-power-supply-black/8324202.p?skuId=8324202 The problem didn't start immediately after. The first day I got the card I was playing games like Modern Warfare and WItcher 3 without a problem, just to test it on games I will mostly be using it with. The next day though(today) I tried some RTX stuff, so I played Minecraft to check out raytracing and the computer reset. At first I thought it was a driver issue, so I double checked and everything looked good there. I didn't think anything of it and tried to load up bright memory. Before the game started my computer just gave out, and will not turn on now. I actually found a forum post similar to mine on here but it doesn't look like it was answered which is why I am posting this now. I can list the troubleshooting steps I tried so far here: I noticed that my peripherals as well as my ethernet on the I/O in the back have lights and seem to be on I unplugged the power supply and left the switch off for about 10-15 minutes. I notice that I get lights in the computer and the fans spin for half a second, but the computer does not come on I tried a different outlet I also should mention I don't have a multimeter so I can't check the voltage/power from the device. If there is anything else I am willing to try, but I basically just want to confirm that this does sound like the power supply? I have a feeling that is the issue because I know the EVGA one I have is less the stellar, but if it's not I'd rather cancel the order I have.
