  1. It has been working for nearly a year now though, I will have him run temperature checks later when he gets home. CSGO for example is running on the lowest settings possible and still is followed by an instant crash.
  2. He ironically just got called into work, I found the old link he sent me when he bought it though.. CPU: Ryzen 7, 3700x GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Memory: 16gb of HyperX RBG Ram (not sure on speed) Motherboard: N/A PSU: N/A
  3. Yes, let me text him to double check on the specs before I post them.
  4. So my friend has an HP Omen Pre-built that he is running into some, what I am assuming is GPU problems. I am fairly certain it is the GPU because, he has his old 960 works when it is slotted into the motherboard. I had him update his drivers (no luck), I had him delete all drivers so it was a clean slate and re-download drivers and had no luck there. I just had him run a GPU stress test on Heaven and it ran perfectly fine.. To give an example of the problem, he can load into CSGO, do anything he wants in the menu i.e. change video settings, change keybinds, buy and sell skins etc etc. As soon as a game is found, his screen goes black on the loading screen and states "no signal found." He tried a new PSU and nothing changed, any idea on what he can do to get this card to work or does he need to send the PC back for a replacement? Thank you guys in advance!
  5. That is how my build will be, a 120mm fans on the bottom blowing upward as well as 3 on the back right vertically stacked blowing to the right of the case with top exhaust.
  6. Does make sense and the triple fan cooling is all I have seen so far and was worried for the F.E. As much as I honestly love how it looks, I am just waiting for the thermals to come out and run way hotter than the others
  7. Read my mind lol.. went with 4 for the eye candy. Going for a white build with some RGB
  8. Budget (including currency): About $2500 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: From League of Legends to the Call of Duty series, also I am an Mechanical Engineering student as well (in my Junior year atm). Will be my at home work station/gaming rig for now and the future. Other details: As of right now, my current rig is a 2070 Super with an air cooled i7-7700k. Selling to a good friend of mine and building my new rig for the years to come. The parts I have picked out via PCPartPicker are the following: Ryzen 9 3900x 3.8 GHz 12-Core, cooled by a NZXT Kraken x73 A Gigabyte x570 AORUS Pro WIFI 32 GB (4x8GB) Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 Memory Samsung 970 Evo 1TB SSD Hoping for a Founders Edition 3080 upon release in the following days A Lian LI-011 Dynamic ATX full tower case A corsair RMx 850W 80+ Gold PSU Will be using 6 Corsair LL120 RGB fans for intake on the bottom and side. Exhaust will be on top with the Kraken x73 Any suggestions for the build? Should I pull the trigger and buy the founders or go third party for better cooling and what not? Always loved how clean the F.E. cards have looked and if the temperatures/performance are slightly lower than third party I would probably still choose F.E. If there is any parts you think need changing, upgrading etc please let me know! Edit: Also if you think waiting for Zen 3 would be better, feel free to let me know. Thank you in advance!
  9. now that it is transferred, how do i make the Evo 850 the boot drive? In Bios?
  10. I recently bought a m.2 SSD (970 Evo 1TB) and have had a SATA SSD (850 EVO 250GB). I was wondering how I transfer my Windows 10 operating system to one of the drives. I am thinking of putting it on my Evo 850 and leaving my 950 for larger games such as GTA 5. Any thoughts on what I should do and how I should go about transferring the operating system?
  11. A follow up to this, I reset my bios to the original settings and this is what I am seeing now on a constant loop. I have a 60% keyboard so when I hit the "del" I am hitting the function key along with the question mark key yet nothing is happening. Nothing happens when I try F2 or F11. 3AFE66E5-D197-42EE-A6E5-0B371E7E46AB.MP4
  12. i downloaded to a flash drive, only thing on it. Went into BIOS and made sure the boot priority was the flash drive. Now sitting at a black screen with "MSI" in the middle while "please wait.. undoing changes" flashes on the bottom of the screen and every 10 seconds my monitor says "no signal" and goes back into the loop of "please wait.."
  13. it ran fine for about an hour, I was too lazy to do anything just yet. I had went into settings (partitions) and set up the new m.s, used max volume and was able to download and use things in the new drive
  14. how do I go about re-installing windows when it wont even stay on atm?
  15. As of right now it is just turning on and off on its own within seconds of each other.
  16. I just purchased a 1TB m.2 SSD today, instead of migrating data between my other two storage units i decided to just factory reset my computer to help get rid of unwanted junk.. I have done it before with no problems, while resetting I heard my computer turn off, then on, then off then on all on its own for minutes on end.. eventually it went into a safe mode (same options came up as if you were to hold "shift" while restarting. No matter what I do my computer will not turn on for more than 20 seconds and will not boot up. It is custom built with the following parts: Intel 7th Gen Core i7-7700K @ 4.20 GHz 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram 3000MHz Gigabyte 2070 Super w/ 8gb EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 Power supply (750W) MSI Enthusiastic Gaming Intel Z170A (Z170A Gaming M5) 1TB hard drive (where Windows was installed), 250GB SSD and my new 1TB m.2 SSD (where windows was going to go) Any help will be great because at the moment, I have no computer..
  17. My friends and I all assumed GPU especially when Borderlands 3 came out and I noticed my GPU was not holding up to what I like. I was looking into the 2060 Super for an upgrade
  18. My current PC was bought and built in August 2017 for around $1300 because of the GPU price inflation due to cryptocurrency mining. I was wondering (roughly same price range) what I should be looking to upgrade next. Before I list my parts I am looking to use this as both a gaming rig (as I do now) along with a desktop to do my engineering work on (CAD, computer programming etc). I currently have a 24" 144Hz gaming monitor as well and I am looking to maybe buy the same monitor to make it a duel setup. Games I play range from the Borderlands series, CSGO, League of Legends, Forza Horizon 4 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. My rig currently has: Intel 7th Gen Core i7-7700K @ 4.20 GHz 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram 3000MHz Asus Geforce GTX 1060 6GB Turbo Edition EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 Power supply (750W) MSI Enthusiastic Gaming Intel Z170A (Z170A Gaming M5) 1TB hard drive and a 250GB SSD
