Arvensus's Achievements

  1. I'll look into what kind of PSU it is. It's from a prebuilt.
  2. Budget (including currency): $500 US Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CSGO, Apex, PUBG, Warzone, etc Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Already own a sufficient PSU, 1TB HDD and a GTX 1050 2GB. I plan on playing at 1080p with decent settings. Hey, I'm creating a build within a $500 budget that will maximize my gaming performance in current day and allow me to upgrade in the near future. I'm concerned that my graphics card will be a bottleneck within this build and can't find any benchmarks that would tell me otherwise. Should I cough up a few dollars and upgrade to a newer/more powerful GPU or can I hold off for now? List below: ($120) CPU: 3300x ($75-115) MBD: B450 Tomahawk MAX or Micro-ATX B450 MAX or B550 when it comes out ($0) GPU: GTX 1050 (2GB) $75-85) RAM: RipJaws 2x8GB 3200Mhz CL16 DDR4 ($0) HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda ($35-45) SSD: 250GB ADATA SU800 ($0) PSU: 500w (unknown brand) ($60-80) Case: Phanteks P300 or NZXT H510 ($10-30) Case Fans: pack of beQUIET or something ($375-475) Total??? Any comments or suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated!

  4. Didn't realize that was an option, my bad.
  5. Alright thanks. I'll upgrade it I suppose.
  6. Bought the 500GB WB Black SN750 for $60 on sale already, great value to me. I plan on buying the keys on ebay or g2a and the X570 was just put for reference. I'm going to swap it out for the B550 in June.
  7. Already own the PSU. I guess I'll just cough up a few more bucks for a new one.
  8. I currently have a CoolerMaster 80+ Bronze 500w PSU but I'm not sure if it will work with my new build. Also, I plan on swapping the X570 board with the B550 upon its release. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! 9. Okay, thanks! Work hard and continue saving up for a new pc!
  10. I've only looked at mesh front cases that include fans but I'd assume more space would allow for cooler temps. Also on a side note, do you have experience with AMD graphics cards?
  11. Great, thanks! Should I keep an ATX case for improved airflow?
  12. I've done extensive research over the past month or so on all of the components listed in this build but I would like some additional feedback from an experienced community. Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated and I have a few questions/concerns. This will be my first time building a computer from start to finish and I'm trying to buy components that will work well together and make this a relatively stress-free process. For reference, I will be using this PC for all of my school work (slight video editing, Photoshop, Word Docs, PowerPoints, etc) gaming (CSGO, PUBG, Battlefield V, Rainbow 6) and all normal web browsing (Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, etc.) I'd like to stick with 1080p gaming at medium-high settings to pair with my 144hz 1ms monitor from ASUS. Right now I have an AMD A8-6500, GTX 950, 2TB HDD, random brand 16GB DDR3 1600 and no SSD. Clearly this is not cutting it so here's my potential build list (max budget around $850): $115 MBD B450 Tomahawk Max or Micro-ATX B450M PRO-VDH Max (-$30) --- What's the real difference between Micro-ATX and ATX? Is it worth? $170 CPU Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 5 3600x (+$30) --- Is the higher frequency worth it?? $230 GPU Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super 6GB OC or Gigabyte RX 5600XT 6GB OC (+$60) --- Has AMD resolved their bios issues and are AMD GPUs reliable? $85 RAM RipJaws 2x8GB 3600Mhz CL16 $50 HDD Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM $75 SSD WD Black SN750 M.2 NVME 500GB or ADATA SU800 SATA III 512GB (-$20) --- Is an NVME really worth the extra money? Visual difference? $65 PSU CoolerMaster 500w 80+ Bronze (already own) --- Is this enough for the build I'm considering? I'd hate to buy a new PSU since this one is pretty new. $90 Case Fractal Design Meshify C or darkFlash DLM21 MESH (-$25) --- Might buy additional fans if needed (I don't care for RBG) $815 Total Thanks in advance!
  13. I was under the impression that you ONLY want an SSD for your OS and frequently used programs, then purchase a large HDD for all homework files, etc. Also, I haven't found a case that looks as appealing to me as that one yet with a swinging glass door, mesh front and buttons on top for a reasonable price so lol.
  14. Alright, I'll look into these. Thanks for the input; that's exactly the kind of answer I was looking for!
