  1. What I mean is will the ps4 allow a few pc games alongside ps4 content.
  2. I want to put my external SSD into my ps4, to get more storage. I checked and it does work with ps4,but I don't know if I have to delete everything on it to make it work (I have a few games from my pc on it) and I might sound really stupid but I just want to make sure before i actually delete them if I need to.
  3. Just checked, my CPU is now at great GHz when gaming, around 3 - 2.6, so im going to close this thread now. I get 110 fps instead of 60 fps and im still going to reapply new thermal paste, thanks to everyone who replied!
  4. Thanks for letting me know, my brother and I both opened it up, the main thing he was worried about was the heat sink but it was very easy to remove, and we cleaned it out with compressed air. I am going to be buying arctic silver 5 for the thermal paste, however my brother says hes had these thermals since day 1 but he did note that the thermal paste did have to be replaced so im hoping that it does decrease the thermal throttling. Also i was talking about the cooling pads with the fans that the laptop sits on. Thanks for letting me know.
  5. Would just cleaning out the inside and the single fan still stop it from thermal throttling? or would it be necessary to put on new thermal paste. I don't really want to put on thermal paste as I do not know much about building computers and applying thermal paste properly. Also i've seen some of these laptop cooling pads, would they help decrease the thermal throttling?
  6. I don't have any thermal paste right now, and don't have any contact cleaner, i can buy some but I don't know any good thermal paste brands so some help for that would be appreciated. My older brother who knows a lot about computers will help me clean out the inside, if it still is overheating i will try to do what you said, also if you are wondering he didn't know what thermal throttling was, he just knows more about it than i do and thats why i made this post.
  7. Many thanks. I will try this tommorow since its quite late at night and see if it helps. I will show if it does help and update this tommorow
  8. I currently am using a asus gl553vd laptop with a gtx 1050 and i5 7300hq.I recently noticed that when i am playing any game i get very low framerates on settings that used to get good framerates on. I checked the task manager and saw that the clock speed of the cpu was around 1 - 1.5ghz when i am gaming but it went back to its normal 2.8-3.3ghz when just looking at some chrome tabs and stuff. I'm not very sure why this happens and I really need some help to see how i can fix it. Here is some Intel extreme tuning utility screenshots This is when in gaming This is when not gaming I don't really know what any of this means and any help on understanding this and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
