  1. Ok so I just ran another benchmark from userbenchmark and the results show that all the components except for the gpu are working fine. The gpu seems to perform really bad compared to other 2070s. I bought the gpu new in early 2019 and the bad performance has always been like this. Is it possible that i was just unlucky and got a bad card?
  2. During the GPU benchmarks all the cores are clocking at around 4.15GHz (always between 4.1 and 4.2) with a temp of 60°C. In the CPU benchmark it automatically drops down to 3.9GHz and the temp rises to 67°C (at 100% utilization). Is that hot enough for it to clock down to 3.9? During gaming the CPU is usually not at 100% utilization though and I also don't think that's the reason the overall performance is dropping this much.
  3. You probably read that wrong. The decrease in score was due to the lower RAM speed. The overclocking itself worked well, it's stable and boosts the performance. With my normal overclocking settings the maximum temperature is 67°C which is still fine I'd say. With the fan speed on 100% the max temperature was 63°C
  4. Used DDU to remove all drivers and reinstalled the newest graphics driver. Still the same score. Any other ideas?
  5. Yes, I have XMP enabled and the RAM is actually running at 3600MHz. It's a 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX kit with CL18 latency I disabled XMP and had the RAM running at 2133MHz for another round of benchmarks. -with standard GPU clock speed (decreased from 7445 to 7365): https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/47996574 -with overclocked GPU (decreased from 8138 to 8046): https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/47996736 so I don't think the problem is memory related
  6. Hey, so first off I already wondered why I had less fps in games than my friends even though I techically got better hardware. Well today I thought maybe a Benchmark will reveal why. Here's the important specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x GPU: MSI RTX 2070 8GB RAM: 16GB DDR4 3600MHz Motherboard: Aorus Elite X570 PSU: be quiet! 650W 80+ gold CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D15 (temps are good, it's not throttling) most up to date drivers installed and all other programs closed On my first run of 3DMark Time Spy with stock clock speeds I got a Score of 7445 Here's more info on the result: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/47993676 That score seemed kinda low so I overclocked my GPU and got a Score of 8138 on my second run Result info: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/47993971 Well a quick search for results with the same CPU and GPU revealed that even my OVERCLOCKED result is only better than 2% of the other results with the same hardware. the orange line is my overclocked result So what can be the reason why my PC is underperforming? Could it be not enough power delivered to the PSU? Is there a way to test that? Thanks Moyo
  7. no i haven't moved the M.2. Clearing CMOS also didn't help. When booting in legacy mode i didn't even get to the BIOS (which is super weird) so I had to reset it. i unplugged everything except the monitor and keybaord but still the same result. i saved my important files through cmd and now i'm just gonna reinstall windows (after manually setting the m.2 to MBR) thanks for your help anyways
  8. Alright I'll try that, thank you. I didn't change the hardware except for the case, so it should work in theory
  9. So yesterday I got a new case and so i removed my hardware from the old case and put it in the new one. In the BIOS all of my drives are shown correctly but when i try to boot from my m.2 (even through boot menu) where windows is installed it says: "Reboot and select proper boot device. or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key" i tried to boot from a windows installation USB and start cmd. In there i can access the drive and see all the files on it, so the drive is not corrupted. I also tried to activate the partitions with diskpart but it just said something like "can't activate. this only works with MBR drives". Activating partitions works with all my other drives without any problems. so it seems like the m.2 is somehow partitioned (?) in GPT. Is there a fix for this problem? Because I don't think I can change the partition style from GPT to MBR without deleting all the files on it.
  10. Thank you! I'm going with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 now. That's basically what I was looking for
  11. So right now I'm looking for some parts for a new PC and I can't find a good case. The problem is I only have limited space in height. My current case (Sharkoon T9 Value) is 44cm tall and the new one shouldn't be taller than 49cm. Well I looked up some cases and found the Lian Li PC-O1. The only problem with that case is that it only supports cpu coolers with a max height of 15,5cm and I want to fit in a Noctua NH-D15. So do you guys know any good cases? It should be high quality, have enough room for cable management, a few 2,5" SSDs and 2 HDDs. I don't care for RGB, but the Airflow has to be good, so with like a mesh front or something. For the price I had something around 200$ in mind. It shouldn't cost more than 250$
