Budget (including currency): c. £2,000 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR Gaming - HL Alyx/No Mans Sky etc. I haven't bought myself a new PC in several years, so it's time to upgrade. I'll be getting the Valve Index eventually either by getting ripped off on eBay or patiently waiting for my order to reach the top of the queue, and at least to begin with the PC will mainly be for that. For the PC, the Valve Index and new monitors, ideally I don't want to exceed £3,500 total outlay. I've played around with various configurations and I keep ending up having to choose between one of these two pairings to avoid going massively over budget: the 9900k + 2080 Super, or the 9700k + 2080 Ti. Having looked at various benchmarks and comparisons between the 4 components, I can't decide which is the better trade-off in terms of overall performance. Ignoring the 10700/10900 and RTX 3000 series coming down the line, if you had to pick between one of the two pairings, which would it be?
