  1. I see what I have to do now. Thanks so much for the help!
  2. Ah, okay this makes sense. I wasn't aware that I needed another device to plug it into. In that case which one should I purchase? The only reason I wasn't sure about this is because I thought I saw someone plug it directly into the motherboard with a type of usb cable, but that must have been something else.
  3. My fan hub just arrived today: CORSAIR RGB Fan LED Hub and I think I'm doing something wrong or need to buy something in order to make my fans, well, rgb. I plugged everything in that a tutorial I found said, but there seems to be a USB connector that I need or something of the sort. I don't know if this is the issue or if I need another part, but I want to figure it out so that I can have even more shiny lights in my PC haha
  4. So basically I was trying to help my friend with a weird game thing by setting a custom display resolution in AMD Radeon Software. When he hit save, it turned off his monitor (like usual), but it never turned back on. We’ve tried unplugging everything, restarting the monitor and pc and such. The monitor works fine in bios, so we loaded into safe mode. I told him to delete the entire program (Radeon Software), which uninstalled fine. However, after restarting the PC the monitor still won’t display the OS. I don’t know if I’ve done something terrible or if it’s an easy fix, but at this point I just need answers if anyone has any. I’m open to any ideas because currently he is unable to play any games and it's entirely my fault. Thanks! EDIT: Got it working! In case this happens to anyone else, here's what I did: 1. Booted into Safe Mode from BIOS 2. Uninstalled graphics driver from Device Manager 3. Restarted and it works!
  5. I don't think so. I just want to make sure that 550W is enough for those exact parts. I may throw in a Noctua outtake fan or 2, but the parts I have listed are probably going to be there until I HAVE to upgrade to play at good quality.
  6. I don't think so. I just want to make sure that even Alright sounds good. Thanks!
  7. Just to clarify. Is pcpartpicker usually pretty accurate with the estimated wattage?
  8. Sure it's sufficient, but what if I were to OC my cpu and/or gpu?
  9. I'm sure you guys get this question all the time, but I just need to make sure that I'm getting the right PSU. I was going to get a 550W Gold+, but recently I've start leaning towards a 650W Gold+. Here are the specs: Case: NZXT H510 CPU: R5 3600 CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240L RGB V2 GPU: 5700XT Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk Storage: 1 500GB SSD, 1 128GB SSD, 1 2TB HDD
  10. That makes sense, but I'm still a little confused. What exactly do you mean by it "could" be using the bandwidth that my PC is using while I'm playing games?
  11. Hello ladies and gents, I hope you're having a fine day this Tuesday afternoon! I've looked around on Google and can't seem to find the right answer, so of course I knew I could come here to find the right answers. I have a TV that's connected through Ethernet to my Modem and my PC that's upstairs is connected through WiFi. I'm not that tech-savy when it comes to networking and such, so I was wondering if I'm on the right path by saying the Ethernet connection is using a part of my bandwidth and is a part of the reason I'm receiving poorer internet on my PC upstairs? My parents are watching a 4k movie and I'm playing R6 and I noticed that my ping was a bit higher than usual. I'm just not sure how Ethernet and WiFi are related in how they share bandwidth and wanted to make sure that the reason I was getting worse ping was because of the movie.
  12. I mean it's only a couple of bucks so from what you guys are saying I think I'm just going to buy one and see if it works because in the worst case scenario I can always send it back or, if not, it's only like 3 dollars so not much money wasted.
  13. Hey guys, some of you are already typing before you read this but just hear me out. I've been doing research and can't determine the truth behind the "1-5 dollar Windows 10 Pro Activation Keys" on eBay. Some people say they are bought from other countries for cheap and resell them on eBay, others say that people steal credit cards and buy them in bulk and then resell them, and other people say they aren't legit or only work for a limited amount of time. I just want to buy a legit key that will last me for a while for a cheap price if that is possible. Anyone know the truth about these keys or maybe if the story is different for each of the sellers?
  14. Alright I'll just go with the Gigabyte one then. Thanks!
  15. I want to buy one of these 2 cards but I don't know which one is the best. People keep saying difference things about the cards, but I want to make sure I get the best one. If they're the same, I think I'll just go with the gigabyte 5700-XT because they are the same price. If anyone knows the comparison between these two and could recommend to me the best one (assuming they're not extremely similar and you basically couldn't tell a difference) that would be a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Thank's so much!
  16. Hmm, I didn't even know that. So basically if I want to play RTX games I would need to get at least a 2070?
  17. Yeah I've been looking at them and I totally agree. Thanks so much for the side-tip it definitely saved me some extra money haha
  18. Oh wow I didn't even know lol. Which of the 2 do you recommend? They both look good to me to be honest and I can't make up my mind

  20. Hello everyone! I've been looking for a good case and came across the White H510 (apparently a good beginner case, which in my situation is perfect) and was wondering about the airflow. I noticed it only has 2 fans that come with the case and they are both located on the same side. I was wondering if the airflow within the case is good enough to where I don't need to buy 2 extra fans to put on the front if it? I would love to save myself a few extra dollars and skip out on the fans if that's a possiblity. Thank you!
  21. As I am trying to complete the parts to my first build, I was going to go with the "standard" (White) H510 case. However, I noticed the DIYPC Trio-GT-RGB and found it looked amazing! I thought that it would be a better purchase because of rgb and better airflow. I do know that this case sacrifices a USB 3.1, but that's totally fine with me. Basically my question is: is this a smart choice over the H510 or other cases in the pricerange? UPDATE: Nevermind! After reviewing I'm going with the regular G510 because the DIYPC Trio-GT-RGB is out of stock at Newegg and I can't find it for that cheap anywhere else. PS: I've done some research and after looking at it the front fans are covered by tempered glass so that effects the airflow and there is also not a lot of cable management room available. However, the RGB looks sick and it comes in different modes as well. If I could have gotten it for $70 at Newegg before it went out of stock I would have 100%
  22. I'm assuming it's better than the stock cooler as well?
  23. Alright sounds great! So should I be concerned about the general overheating of the gpu or not really? I know you mentioned "it depends on the cooler" which yes, of course you're right, however I noticed the overheat seemed to be a trend and am wondering if this could be an issue down the road?
  24. I like the looks of the SE-224 XT. Do you know if this cooler would be good enough to overclock the 3600 a little bit as well?
