  1. In New Zealand money it's so much worse lol..... I die a lil inside when videos say the prices of stuff at like micro centre etc.. and i know "exchange rates etc" BUT if you live in US and you deal in USD then you dont really consider that, it just IS that cheap... Anyway..... 2080's are still $1000-1100 atm ..... 3080's are listed for $1500 available for collection 1 Nov i guess the first lot sold out fast,.,... tho the way things are going i think getting the "next" run off the factory wont be a bad thing... plus the 3070 if it stays to the gossip sounds like it will equal the 3080...somehow lol For me to save the $1500 i'm looking at shopping in Jan 2021 anyway SO lots of stuff is going to happen between now and then... My 390x didnt even last 5 years, nowhere near it so AMD......Meh..... I'd rather go with a 3000 series this time.I think the last nvidia card i had was a 470 or 460 something like that....that could be wrong.... it was just a tiny circuit board n a lil iddy biddy fan....
  2. Yea I KNOW lol - at this point in time no i've got an AOC 12yr old 24inch 60htz 1080p BUT as i say if i'm going to buy a gpu i would like to be future proof and i'm willing to wait longer to do so.
  3. Hey Team, I'm running: Asus Z370 Tuf Gaming Plus Trident Z 32GB 3200mhz Intel 8086k Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 Samsung Evo 970 I've got the opportunity to work once a week so i can hopefully start saving for a GPU which i don't have since my R9 390x crapped out at the end of 2019! *Oh how i miss games to chill out and kill time* Question is, would i be wasting my time saving for a 3080Tuf ?? Should i be aiming for something in the 2000 series? No plans to upgrade my cpu etc anytime soon due to not having a job but you never know, i'd love to go ryzen one day... but i could be YEARS ya know... Money is not an issue in the way that i am happy to save till i can afford a 3080....so "budget" isn't a factor for me....i'll just save longer.. Obviously i am leaning towards the 3080 BUT just wondering if it could actually be bad to throw it in my system i have now?..... I'm reasonably certain that my specs are in the minimum respectable area for one of these cards but i'd love to hear from the brain trust
  4. don't you hate when that happens....nah i did that....so you try it again and boom.... so i reinstalled the drivers and the "other" asmedia usb root rub is gone.... just those other 2 here now.... lol
  5. yea that was the first thing i did eh but no luck, installed pretty much all the drivers again just to be sure. no mus
  6. so theoretically i should be able to get the 4th 3.5inch drive in there including my evo970....hmmmmmm oki doki thankyou
  7. Hey guys, Running an Asus z370 Tuf Gaming Plus ATX motherboard... I've never been able to plug more than 3 hard drives...but there are 6 stata ports on the motherboard..... no matter what i do i can only get 3 to detect... some of the ports just dont seem to work.... I know i had 4 running at one point but never again since taking it out,.. It's not the drive because if i swap it over with one that it detects it shows up fine.. What is the point of 6 sata ports if you can't plug and play 6 hard drives?! To add to that anger my external usb 3 hdd no matter what usb port i plug into it comes up windows can't recognise blah blah! could the motherboard be failing?? My printer will only show up on the front case usb ports too.... try out the usb 2 - usb 3.1 and usb 3 ports on the back and nothing... even wont detect on the front case usb 3 only the usb 2! Super frustrating!
  8. Yea see its not just the pc ones but i've got my old 2.1 unit hooked up to my bedroom tv and i get the same hiss from my bookshelves hooked up to the tv..... thats why i wonder if it is just the hiss of speakers turned up that i'm just going to have to live with.
  9. I moved my router which got rid of the tick and interference noise, just the background hiss which is bugging the shiz out of me now lol
  10. i've been told to try one of these ground loop iso
  11. Hi, I have a 2.1 sub system hooked up to the motherboard..... The "hiss" is starting to grind my grits - wondering would i be able to get better quality by installing a sound card or some kind of other option to go in between the sound system and the pc? Or should i simply shell out for a "quality" AUX cable (which are a stab in the dark as to if they are actually quality or not)
  12. worked good on my secondary it cranks that right up BUT my main wont go any higher and nowhere near the level of my secondary - which is weird as they are both AOC and my main is "better" than the other lol geez i dont know i think i will just have to get over the annoyance of change thrust upon me by the update
  13. nah shes still out there i got it its the same size as that zip so must be the same thing
  14. LOL without the "Sane" stamp on my forehead i guess it could always be up for debate but yeah pretty sure. Oh yea is that unversal software? Might give it a look
