  1. Just bought the Lian Li PC O11 Mini White PC case and I'm just now remembering that I can only use an SFX power supply with it. I currently have a Seasonic Focus Gold 550W power supply so I will sell my ATX one and put that towards a new SFX. Looking for a used or new SFX PSU for $100 or under.
  2. Well my birthday is coming up so I was hoping for my parents to get me something at least for right now. Thanks for the advice!
  3. I want to know if I should buy this card or, since the chips' prices are coming back down to earth slowly should I wait for a reasonable price for another card or just get this one?
  4. If you have the budget, I'm assuming you do since you were about to purchase $120 ram, this is what I'd recommend; https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-VENGEANCELPX16GB-PC4-28800-C141-45V-OptimizedMemory/dp/B07VGJGKX1/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ddr4+3600+cl14&qid=1623420141&sr=8-3
  5. Yes that is a very good set of ram, though I'd expect a lower CAS latency (the CL16) at something like CL14 with that ram speed.
  6. I want to overclock my i7 8700k's Intel UHD 630 graphics so that I can get a little extra fps in a few games that I play. The motherboard I have is a Z390 UD (Ultra Durable) {Got it for about $130}. What are specific configurations that I need to use? I expected to get a graphics card but with the market right now, that didn't work out. I heard that you need to allocate ram for it or something since that's what it uses for vram. I have 16GB of ram @3000 and I believe the UDH 630 uses 6 or 8gb of the 16. I'll have to double check.
  7. He probably will stream as well but if a PC for that budget can't handle gaming and streaming without sacrificing too much performance then it'll just be for gaming.
  8. He literally knows nothing about PCs lol and I'm just trying to be helpful to him. I have nothing else to do as I can't play video games on weekdays (school days) so it's something to entertain me since I consider myself a tech enthusiast. I'm doing what I love at the same time as helping a friend.
  9. I've been looking around prebuilt sites for a pc $800 and below but the ones I find have miniscule parts like integrated graphics or Ryzen 3 pro or something. He needs something better than that of course but I can find anything. Help?
  10. Budget (including currency): $800 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite @144+fps , Warzone @60+fps , and a few other low demanding games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): He's (my friend) upgrading from a Ps4 slim. Looking to buy as soon as possible. 1080p, he has a 144Hz monitor already.
  11. I've been playing the same 3 games for a long time on my PC and I've gotten into streaming months ago and I just now realized that I need something else to create content with. Are there any free PC fps games that actually don't suck? (Games like Fortnite or Warzone)
  12. I have a 10-point-something upload speed for wifi (cant use ethernet due to distance from router) and I want to know the best settings for streaming games on streamlabs and I use integrated graphics for now
  13. thanks. i accidentally put under $24 in the desc. instead of under $25
  14. yea i saw this one but it's in stock on the 29th my actual cooler is expected to arrive a day after so no reason to get a temporary cooler if i go with this option
  15. I sold most of my PC parts a while ago so now all I need is a GPU and CPU cooler that's on the way but they got delayed and I need to get some work done. They were expected to be shipped in a couple days
  16. Looking for a good cooler for my i7 8700k under $25 on Amazon. Not expecting anything great with that budget. Won't be overclocking yet until my long-term cooler arrives. I just want something that I can use in the meantime that'll allow me to game on it at stock clocks.
  17. it's a Z390UD unless it was just a spelling error. but thanks for the advice
  18. i used to have an i5 9600kf a few months ago, tried to OC to 4.9 on all cores and it crashed multiple times. i heard that it may be the vrms on my Gigabyte Z390UD (which i still have w/ the 8700k) but it also couldve been the i5. would that mobo be a constraint in OC'ing my 8700k to 5+?
  19. @Dedayog @Mister Woof yea i won't be overclocking probably, mainly because im not confident in not ruining my system. i'll look up a youtube vid maybe but i'll see my temps at stock first before i make any moves
  20. All I could afford at the moment is the Pure Rock Slim CPU cooler and I have an i7 8700k. I'll be gaming on it (using integrated graphics for now until i get a graphics card). Will the cooler keep up with it?
