  1. Thanks i'll try that. bummer on gsync feature though. could have saved a couple hundred bucks on the monitor and went with another model
  2. thanks for the quick response. It is HDMI 2.0 and maximum i'm able to crank it 120hz right now. It is an ASUS TUF FX505DV laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 and RTX 2060. my worry is that i buy the laptop dock and find that i won't be able to use gsync coz the display port is not somehow linked to gpu.
  3. Hey there, Just need a bit of advice on how to take advantage of my new screen. I just bought a ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A and I have a laptop with rtx 2060 graphics card. It does not have a displayport and only hdmi port. So i haven't been able to use the 175hz feature or gsync for that matter. I was thinking maybe a laptop dock with display port would work. There are no USBC connectors either and I would need to use a USB 3.0 docking station. Can anyone provide some insight whether this setup would finally allow me to use the gsync feature and 175hz refresh rate? many thanks
  4. Hey guys first post here. i purchased a gaming laptop ASUS tuf gaming fx705dy this week and it comes equipped with Ryzen 5 3550H, Radeon RX 560X. I noticed that during 3dmark testing i was obtaining like 12 fps which is crazy as i saw the performance that i should be getting normally. https://www.3dmark.com/fs/17054799 so i installed a game, Nino nu Kuni II and the fps was crap as well. opened performance tab and saw that laptop was using only apu and not gpu. I have amd adrenaline 2020 installd as amd catalyst does not work with this graphics card. So there is no switchable graphics card option as posted on many youtube vids and forums. I see people are saying option was removed in latest AMD software so figured how are you guys using your dedicated card for gaming? i tried to use windows setting to set the game to use high performance but while fps went higher, it only reached like 56 fps. can you guys help? thanks in advance.
