  1. I have recently looked into some cheap gpus lately, and I have decided that I want to buy some used mining cards. i researched it, and found that the risk is less than what I had imagined, and I am set on this way of buying. Now there is only one problem. Where in the world do I buy one? I have looked on sites such as offerup, and ebay, but I can't seem to find any used mining cards that are not ancient r9s and r7s
  2. Well, this has been very helpful. I might consider something like an rtx 2060 or 2060 super.
  3. So I've been getting into lots and lots of 3d modeling lately, and I find that I desperately need some more GPU acceleration to accomplish my ever more complex tasks. Even though I have an R7 2700x, I only got a 1650 Super as my GPU. I started selling stuff on ebay to try and get some money for a new gpu (hopefully in the RTX range). However, at the moment, my sales understandably aren't doing too well and I am kinda cash strapped. My question is, where can I find a better GPU (preferably RTX) for as cheap as it can get, without getting scammed?
  4. It will work, because it has a 16x slot and the 1650 is backwards compatible with Pcie 2.0, but seriously dude, consider buying a new mobo. That's a ddr3 board and that won't handle gaming very well. Try buying something like the msi pc mate at least
  5. What kind of system? I'm running a desktop system with a R7 2700x, 1650 Super, 16GB 3200MHZ ram, and an ssd. I play at 1080p res (1920*1080)
  6. I tried different combinations of ram allotment. I tried 2, 4, 6, 8, and even up to 16 gb allocation just for the heck of it. I don't have v sync on, my fps is set to unlimited, and i tried tweaking the Java arguments too. Still frustratingly low fps
  7. So I tend to play minecraft a lot with my friends, and I have since gotten into shaders and optifine. However, my fps is pretty low for me. While other people with the same graphics card and a less powerful processor such as the 1600 get 400fps vanilla, 100ish fps shaders, I only get about 200fps vanilla, 45 shaders. And that's not even with a texture pack. I've tried everything I could. Enabled XMP up to 3200mhz, installed optifine, tweaked nvidia settings. I'm wondering if this giant tech forum could finally give me an answer to why my rig was severely underperforming (all my other games run fine though)
