  1. Fair point. I think the best is to take my laptop to the shop and test the monitor before making the purchase. Do you have any other non-ultralwide monitors you can suggest?
  2. Hi Everyone, After taking a break from gaming for 18 months, I’ve decided to get back into it just before my country went into the nationwide lock down. But this time, due to lack of time to source the parts I needed and for the sake of experiment, I went with a Gaming Laptop instead of building a rig. I got myself an Asus TUF FX505DU which came with GTX1660 ti GPU. I must say, I am quiet impressed with its performance and value for money I got for it. Given that it is a budget gaming laptop, it only comes with a single HDMI 2.0 port. I still have my old ASUS 27” 144 Hz monitor from 2012. Though it is still doing “Okay”, I feel it is time to upgrade the monitor to an Ultra-wide curve monitor. And I have been looking at AOC CU34G2X 34” QHD VA monitor. Again, bangs for your bucks and very review I’ve seen so far has been very good. So my question is as thus: will my laptop with GTX1660 ti and HDMI 2.0 supports 3440x1440 resolution which this monitor comes with by default? If not, does anyone have a recommendation for an alternative? Thank in you all in advance for any comments.
