  1. @TofuHaroto Hello, so, quarantine is over here, I've been able to test a new ram on my pc and, surprise surprise the same problem, the ram is this: BL2K8G36C16U4B. So, now that I've tested everything, I came to the conclusion that is a bug in the BIOS (versions 1407), because as always the problem comes and goes, without a sense, sometimes I turn on my pc and it boots at the first try, sometimes after ten times. If it was a hardware problem, like a faulty motherboard or a damaged CPU I think I would happen every single time, am I right? I'm pretty sad about it tho. I've built a lot of PCs for my friends and never got a problem, I build my own and it's just a huge problem.
  2. Yeah so being the error inconsistent, sometimes I turn on my pc and it boots fine, some times I need to reboot he said it's more a compatibility/BIOS issue, because, in his opinion, if something at the hardware level it's broke the error is consistent, if it's broke... it's broke. There are no chances for it to work sometimes. Thus it must be a software-related problem. Is this correct?
  3. He meant that if it is bent pins in the cpu the error would be consistent, it would happen every time, not only some times. I'm not sure if it is correct what he's saying
  4. I've already checked the CPU, and it's perfect, in fact talking with a friend working in the field he told me that if it was a faulty cpu or a bent pin the instability would be way more, it wouldn't be just a boot problem only sometimes, it would have problems in dealing with big tasks and loading in the ram a lot of data would probably crash. Is this correct? (Sorry but I'm not that much into hardware isse, I'm on the software side lol) He also said that normally if the mobo detects something wrong that means the mobo is fine, it wouldn't detect the problem if it is a mobo problem or anyway it would be a consistent problem, so it would happen every time. He thinks it's a BIOS issue, they messed up something in the bios and my ram which is not the best quality is more unstable that maybe a top quality one. Or maybe it's a plain compatibility issue with Ryzen and old low quality ram, Ryzen is known to be picky with ram and quality. And, I'm thinking on buys a ram listed in the QVL this way if it doesn't work I can blame Asus and ask for a mobo replacement and if that doesn't work I'll try to contact AMD.
  5. Maybe I could order some quality ram from amazon, I'll test them out and if they have te same problem I could send them back and ask for a MOBO replacement? Could this be a solution? Because as always the MOBO says the problem is the ram when the pc don't boot, so maybe it really is the ram?
  6. Unfortunately I don't have another PC to fin the ram and push them to 3200 MHz. Do you still think it may be the MOBO?
  7. @TofuHaroto So, test done here's what I found: Stick A: On 3 boots at 3200 MHz 2 done and 1 failed (rebooted and started). On 3 boots at 2133 MHz 3 out of 3 were good. Stick B: On 3 boots at 3200 MHz 0 done at first boot, need to use the restart button every time. On 3 boot at 2133 MHz 1 good 2 failed and need a reboot. With one stick every fan at boot spin at 50% With two sticks every fan at boot spin at 100% What do you think?
  8. Thanks, let's hope is not the MOBO but anyway I bought it on Amazon with prime so, I can always ask for a replacement. I'll let you know as soon as I get home and try every single stick! Thanks a lot!
  9. As soon as I'll get home I'll try, do you think is a MOBO problem more than a ram problem?
  10. Yes I did, and ad stock speed they seem to work perfectly
  11. It's been the first thing I did after booting the PC to be fair, before setting up memory clock and everything, I updated the BIOS and than, OC the ram... Is that the problem?
  12. So let be clear cause maybe I made a little mess. And I'm sorry about that. I have 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16(Ver5.32)), those two sticks come from my old Intel built with an i5 7500 and they worked perfectly, but I only used them at 3000MHz for MOBO limitation, on the new build they are unstable, I've tried everything to make them work, every manual config. I even called Asus. But the pc sometimes still doesn't boot (CPU fan on, case fans on, RGB on but no video at all, not even BIOS) and the MOBO light for the ram stays on, telling me there's a ram problem. If I reboot a few times the Pc starts and from there is super stable. So I figured it's a ram stability issue more than a MOBO problem. Am I wrong? The pc is stable in booting and everything if I ran the ram at stock speed Then I've tried to figure out which ram is better, so here I am asking for help, LOL!
  13. @TofuHaroto So this module (F4-3200C16D-16GTZRX) should be fine right? Because that kit is not listed in the QVL but the F4-3200C16D-16GTZR is listed, should the X at the end specific for Ryzen processors? Sorry to bother you, but I'm so confused!!
  14. @TofuHaroto Is it a good ram? Case a soon as I started reading about ram I found out about A-die B-die, and quality, and all those things, and I'm kinda confused if I'm getting good ram or trash.
  15. Hi, I but my new pc a few months ago and I'm still having some ram issues. I've figured out that my ram is not listed in the motherboard QVL, to be clear, my ram is listed but the version is different, I have the CMK16GX4M2B3200C16(Ver5.32) form my old build. Being impossible to know which version of ram amazon is going to ship, if the correct one (4.24) or another one my old ram is a no go. Any suggestions for a good and table ram? MOBO Asus Tuf-gaming x570-Plus CPU Ryzen 7 3700x Thanks
