I’m a Phd student doing AI research (in the US). I mostly work on super computers, but sometimes it’s just easier to work locally for visualizing data, debugging etc. As datasets get bigger, my laptop just isn’t cutting it. I’m looking to build a PC (maybe dual booting Linux?) that perform really well on single threaded tasks (Jupyter notebooks, python scripts), has a lot of memory, a good GPU for accelerated learning, decent storage and support for 3 monitors. Although I’m buying this primarily for pure computing, I wouldn’t mind if it performed well as a gaming PC as well. My budget is 2-2.5K USD. Was hoping someone could help me come up with a parts list
