When I try and update it says “update fail” on all updates with no extra info please help.

I have a power supply with 1x4pin but the mother bored I’m getting has a 8pin power socket. so I was not sure if the 2200g will need the 8pin or just a 4pin and if it need 8pin can i use a molex to 4pin adaptor to do the job with my 4pin So i have a 8pin.
