  1. Update: Turns out all I had to do was to turn down the clock speed on afterburner to +140 (even though 240 worked before the updates) but it's resolved now.
  2. Os: win 10 pro 64 bit processor: i5-9500KF @3.7 Ghz gpu: Msi 1660 Super ram: 16 gb using msi afterburner After installing the latest windows update and Nvidia drivers my monitor randomly displays solid black for ~10 seconds and turns back on like nothing happened. In that time my gpu fans shut off and I need to go back into afterburner to get them going again. If I try to open any Steam game, the textures look corrupted (png images have flashing grids over them, the top 3rd of the screen is black, games instantly freeze before crashing) and games crash after being open for less than 10 seconds.Something strange I noticed was msi afterburner graphs showing that ny gpu was under 100% load while my monitor was completely dark, and at almost 0% before, and after my monitor went black. I reinstalled afterburner, downloaded an optional windows update, restarted multiple times, changed gpu clock/fan settings but to no visible change whatsoever. Also nearly every other program performs the same as it did before the two updates. I have recently defraged my hdd so that might've done something? Help would be much appreciated.
