no. XMP must be enabled so your ram runs at its full speed. All the ram manufactures say that you shoul enable XMP for your pc to be able to run your ram at its advertised speed

So it won't damage any other components and any warrantys won't be voided right

  2. I am looking to purchase a gigabyte rtx 2060 gaming oc pro. I have heard however that this card has issues with something to do with the rgb conflicting with the fans and am now unsure as to whether I should purchase it. Does anyone know whether this is a widespread issue?

try looking at the part number and compare it to a known revision 2 model.

The manufacturer code is the same for both not sure if thats what you meant

when you say that do you mean the "super" upgrade that NVidia released. if so then it is not a super card

No gigabyte release a revision for this card and it doesnt specify which version it is

The Carbon has BIOS flashback, no cpu needed just a usb drive.

Ok I'd still rather not risk it and spend the extra £15 to get a tomahawk max and a wifi card

you have to bios update that motherboard. Get msi motherboard with "MAX" at the end; they are already bios updated to support newest ryzen.

EVGA rtx 2060 ko is the best rtx 2060. It uses parts from rtx 2080 but its still rtx 2060.

g.skill rippjaws 3600mhz cl16 its the cheapest and sweetspot ram for your ryzen. Your ram is not that bad, but the rippjaws (cl16 version) is a lot better.

you have: good psu, good ssd, good pc case, good cpu. well done!

Thank you for letting me know about the bios update I didn't know and don't have an old cpu to update the bios with

yes.  Are you building a pc soon? if yes budget and country? if no tehn why did you ask?

Yes but I have all my parts picked and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything

  9. Found a gigabyte rtx 2060 xtreme for a good price. Can't find this card on the gigabyte or aorus website so can someone tell me if this model is discontinued, and if so, if that's a problem. Also this seems to be a very good price and I'm not sure if the website is good quality or not. This is heightened by the fact that it seems to be an aorus card but aorus is not mentioned in the name. Can someone give their opinions on the site and whether they think it's a legit buy or not? Thanks in advance.

  10. I am looking at either the gigabyte gaming oc pro and windforce oc as potential gpus. I prefer the gaming oc pro's design but the windforce is £26 cheaper. Can anyone tell me what sort of performance difference I can expect from the cards so I can make my decision?

The question I saw says it's retail. But they haven't mentioned OEM anywhere in the listing, so it's safe to assume it's retail.

If you're really worried, ask ebuyer, they'll be able to tell you for sure.

It's a retail key, so not OEM.

There's a Q&A section down the bottom of that page with that question answered by someone who bought it.

Wait hold on, someone else asked if it was an oem or retail and they were told its an oem, however I believe ebuyer sells another copy of windows 10 that specifies its an oem. Does this mean its safe to assume that this is a retail key?
