  1. Yeah I had some at my house but I'm currently looking after someone so I cant get hold of any, I can dust of the radiator but do you really think around 2 years of dust build up could cause those kind of temperatures? I cant replace the CPU cooler right now unless I find some cheap stuff at asda or something
  2. Yeah, Its working though. I think it was rubber on the wire burning
  3. Feel free to give me a list to work through if you need more information.
  4. Computer turned off. Black screen, no power. Extension lead also lost power. (Only computer + monitor + router connected) Next time it turned on smoke came from GPU/motherboard PCI slot. After completely unable to boot for more than a day, switched power cables managed to get it to post (no display output) after leaving on for 4 hours display output suddenly appeared. It's now working completely fine for short periods of time however, AIDA says CPU is throttling and temps are instantly at 80+ from when system boots. This is felt in games as I'd start at 100-200fps then instantly drop to 11 in a matter of seconds and it stutters I uninstalled the 2 Fans connected to the x62 Kraken cooler but theres stil two of corsairs maglev ones on their, maybe configured wrong? but i doubt it would cause over 100 degrees temps. I'm unsure where to go from here, I was thinking maybe the pump had gone on the CPU cooler? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 5. I managed to get the system to boot and play games like normal. But the CPU is over heating (100 degrees on boot) so I'm going to open a new thread to diagnose that
  6. I don’t know what you mean by another socket for CPU power? Also now its on a continuous boot up and shut down loop. Still no video output. - I reset the CMOS again and ended up in the cycle
  7. Thank you for that input? I”m fairly sure the left power connector is broken, but the other ones are working fine (theres still two as theres an extra one for overclocking so I was wondering if it was possible to deliever power through that.
  8. Yesterday my PC turned off, completely and wouldn’t turn back on. My router which was plugged into the same power socket also restarted. It will not post either way, but it wont even turn on if the left 4pin is plugged in but if only the right 4pin then it will turn on however, no display output. There was smoke coming from the GPU when I first plugged the 4 pins back in.
