  1. I will get myself some paste and get to work on it soon, as I can't find any damage on the motherboard or anything, I will remove the cooling solution and replace the paste. If that wasnt it, well then I will have to ask a specialist or send it to hp to fix that for me. I am a little afraid of the last one, as they have formated my drives when they replaced the laptops battery. Again thank you for your kind help, I really appreciate it!
  2. What are you suggesting? Should I remount it myself or let it fix by hp? And if I should do it on my own, do I have to apply new thermal paste?
  3. Hi there, today my laptop fell on the ground (height ≈50cm) and after I turned it on, the fans started spinning on their maximal level, but got slower after some minutes. I checked HWINFO temps and they looked pretty normal to me. Some time later I booted the laptop again, the fans started again on max., so I decided to start a game and see what happens. After some minutes of ingame the temps quickly raised up to 90-99°C but were jumping around randomly in that area. And again the fans started spinning on maximal level. When I closed the game, the temps almost instantly fell to 60°C and so the fan started to get more quiet. What also is quite confusing that the i7-7700HQ which has a base clock speed of 2,8GHz happens to clock pretty high, at 4% utilisation it clocks to around 3,6GHz, which seems pretty weird as this is not overclockable and the max speed of it is 3,8GHz. This must also be a consequence of the laptops fall. I unscrewed the back plate, but could not find any broken parts or anything. I attached a short video clip to demonstrate the weird temperature behavior and maybe you can hear the fans noise. https://youtu.be/X_sVd8v3EvE Thanks in advance!
