  1. On my Z370 I give up a SATA port to use an M.2, is this the case for 390 boards?
  2. 1. Budget & Location I am looking at getting the NZXT H1 and then spending no more than 600USD on components (if necessary, my preferred range for just the motherboard is less than $300). I currently have a 8700K running on an ASUS Z370-P board with no M.2 storage (2SSD@384GB/total and 2HDD@1TB/each) and 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1080 Ti. 2. Aim I am looking at dual-booting Windows 10 and pop_Os! as well as virtual machines for testing software packages on different OSs. I also do some moderate gaming (mostly CSGO and League of Legends) but I also enjoy GTA V and Assassins Creed on occasion. 3. Monitors I run a 3 monitor setup, 2 1980s and a 4K monitor. I am looking at upgrading the old two in the future as money comes in. 5. Why are you upgrading? I want to move to a smaller, quieter build thats easily portable; I am a college student and moving from room to room in the dorms each year takes its toll. I also want it to be futureproof at least for the next 4 or 5 years. Every component I replace will be used in a home media server that I will build with money as it comes in as well so I am not afraid of completely scrapping what I have if it means I have more components to build with later. The biggest thing I need help with is whether to go with a 370 or 390 chipset, or switch entirely from Intel.
