  1. Turned on the function again. The problem has returned. Again, after partial filling of the RAM, the speed drops. Now there is no difference whether it is on or off. RAM is filled anyway and speed decreases. Maybe there are more ideas how to fix this?
  2. I have already tried using RoboCopy. It's a cool thing, but first I need to write a more convenient bat file It is a pity RoboCopy does not have any convenient GUI.
  3. It seems to have solved the problem by disabling "Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level" with the command netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled You can check the status by the command netsh interface tcp show global All this must be entered on the command line with administrator rights.
  4. Thanks for the answer! I tried TeraCopy. Copying is more stable. Sometimes it slows down to about 60, but most of the time stably copies at a speed of 80-100. While copying was in progress, I noticed that the server does not use RAM when the program is used. It is not always convenient to use third-party programs. Is there any way to disable cached copying when transferring from the file manager? Laptop and desktop computer using a wired gigabit ethernet connection through a gigabit router.
  5. Thanks for the reply! At first, I also thought that it was a slow HDD, but then the same problem would be when I tested Ubuntu Server. Ubuntu is copied at a constantly high speed.
  6. There is a problem with copying files over a network between a desktop computer and a file server. I use a laptop as a file server. When I copy large files (~ 18-20 gigabytes) from a stationary computer to a laptop, the speed at first is about 100-110 MB/s, and after a while it drops to about 30-60 MB/s. I looked through many forums and in most they say that this is caching when copying. When the RAM runs out, the speed decreases. On the laptop I use Windows Server 2019 Standard. On a desktop computer is Windows 10 Pro for Workstation 1909. I tested copying on the Ubuntu Server 18.04 system. There are no such problems on it. Even when the entire memory is filled with a cache, the speed does not drop and is copied at about the same speed, 100+ MB/s all time. I tried to disable caching in Device Manager. Not very helpful. It has become longer at an outgoing speed, but again when the RAM is full, it starts to clean it and the speed drops to the end of the cleaning, then rises again. Is there any way to make copying at a constant speed without significant jumps in speed? Parameters of both computers: 1.
