  1. Hi! I recently bought a stick of RAM (Kingston HyperX Impact 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 SDRAM SO-DIMM 260-pin) for my laptop (msi gp62mvr 7rf leopard pro) and I am wondering if I should mix the old 8gb 2133mhz CL16 ram with the new 2400mhz CL14 RAM or should I remove the 8gb stick and only have the 16gb stick in? I am aware that they will both run at the slowest speed (2133mhz) and therefore it would be a waste of money to get a 2400mhz stick. Which one is faster for gaming? 16gb 2400mhz or 24gb 2133mhz? I mainly use the laptop for gaming and usually have discord running in the background. I don't usually run any browsers in the background. Update: Apparently the original 8gb ram was supposed to run at 2400mhz, it was not giving me the option in Bios, so I took out the 16gb stick and enabled xmp for the old 8gb stick. Now I have all the 24gb of ram running at 2400mhz. Thank you.
  2. Nevermind. I found the XMP setting and it seems to work fine. It was in the overclocking section of my laptop's BIOS.
  3. MSI's website says that it supports 2400mhz RAM and I am pretty sure that the original 8gb stick I had was running at 2400mhz.
  4. Hi! I recently bought a stick of RAM (Kingston HyperX Impact 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 SDRAM SO-DIMM 260-pin) and I noticed that it is running at the speed of 2133mhz instead of 2400mhz. I've tried to look around in the BIOS but I did not find XMP. Yes, I know how to unlock the BIOS but I still was not able to find the option. The RAM is supposed to support XMP 2.0 and I really want to get the most out of it. My laptop is the MSI gp62mvr 7rf leopard pro. Thank you in advance.
