  1. I wonder if there was anyway to test if its just the LCD panel or the GPU? The latter would equire an entire mobo I guess.
  2. Sorry for lack of info: Power adapter lights up and, indeed, the laptop charges and runs on power. Keys light up, as normal. Sometimes going into Chroma mode (changing colours) The logo doesn't appear at all so no BIOS visuals.
  3. Hey. My RB14 laptop boots, but there is nothing on screen and nothing through the display port. I did connect with it over SSH via Wifi. Assumption is either a fault in the graphics card or the logic board. Power adapter lights up and, indeed, the laptop charges and runs on power. Keys light up, as normal. Sometimes going into Chroma mode (changing colours) The logo doesn't appear at all so no BIOS visuals. I was able to SSH to the laptop via WiFI in order to get my much needed files for work. Putting the SSD back in, I booted it (to be 100% sure it hadn't "fixed itself") and it booted enough to get chroma going, so it's doing something. Razer Blade 14. Specs: 14" IPS Full HD 1920 x 1080 Matte Screen Quad-Core 7th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ Processor with Hyper-Threading 2.8GHz / 3.8GHz (Base/Turbo) NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5 VRAM) 16GB dual-channel onboard memory (DDR4, 2400MHz) Any idea what the issue could be? I don't mind tryin to buy a motherboard and do it myself etc. Or if anyone is an expert on here we could work out a deal
  4. Thanks for your quick support. I must say the Dell's aestetic is very hard to resist...It seems there is no GPU difference between the MX150 and 650M which is what all of these have.
  5. I see, I am looking at the 3 laptops: Dell XPS 15 9550 - 6700HQ ALienware 13 R3 - 6700HQ HP Envy 13 ah0001na (8250u)
  6. I'm looking at buying a cheap gaming laptop to play WoW and Halo Master Collection and the odd bit of Lightroom editing. Nothing AAA etc. I see the 6700HQ has been used a lot in the premium gaming laptop machines of the last few years. It seems even the 6700HQ out performs the 8250u according to various sites but couldn't find any direct comparison on youtube. Anyway, anyone have a verdict as to which or better ?
