  1. Im checking the differences here, i think the vmoda will work with it https://versus.com/en/bose-quietcomfort-35-vs-sennheiser-game-one
  2. I listen to stuff pretty loud anyhow so i dunno if id even hear it tbh, just food for though tho. Debating now, i have been offered a pair of these https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-pc37x-gaming-headset, for £80 here in the uk.
  3. Yeah, was thinking that myself with used stuff man, but nothing to stop be taking my time with them, open carefully, clean them down, leave em for a few days before using and that so i recon should be safe enough. Thats if i won any that is. The main issue i have with the coolermasters which i cant see anyone commenting on is the fact u hear cable noise when touching it through the headset with the braded cable, wondered if anyone changed it to a rubber cable to see if it dont do that, seen a few youtube reviewers say its one of the main downfalls with it
  4. cheers buddy, am actually on the fence, there are some used game one headsets going for about the same price £80 - £100, from what i read there much much better, so hoping to get a deal although they probably wont be new, slightly putting me off.
  5. Hi guys, looking for some real-world advice, been watching loads of reviews. My headset is pretty much on its way out, its got tape on it, its been superglued, the cable has been rolled under my chair a million times and my toddler seems to think they are his. There about 7 years old so no shame to them (skull candy slyrs 40mm drivers, usb adapter ) So i wanted to try and get something with a much better mic, this is a boom mic, sounds good but no noise cancellation. So far trying to keep within a £100 budget i have come up with the Razer v2x , coolermaster mh751 or 752, purly because of the mics on them, watched the hardware cunucks roundup. Wireless would be nice, but i can kiss mic quality goodbye if i do that, and with uni and other stuff i would much rather have one, the webcam one sucks, i have a neewer mic somewhere but just gets in the way and ill let u all know if i ever mind my boya shotgun mic Long story short, i have come across what i think is the perfect pair, the sennheiser game ons or the pc37x which i believe to be more or less the same, there out my budget but im watching a few on ebay. Open vs closed back ........not to bothered tbh, would like a better sound stage... .the missus would not. Have concidered a decent pair of cans and a modmic or the vmoda one,. since cheaper, no noise-canceling tho, but cant seem to pick or find good cans within the budget. Lots of peeps recommending stuff like the Philips 9500s or the fidelio x2s. Please help me pick, im not an audio nut, quite honestly id love to be but i need to live within my wage bracket , i game, i listen to all types of tunes, i edit videos i use chat for uni and other stuff. Suggestions welcome.
  6. Did not know that either, my home plug is directly next to my internet cables coming into the house, like i said id happily make the pc wireless if i can guarentee a good enough signal on it. What do you think of these cheaper wifi 6 routers ? , like the honor ones, and xaiomi ones ? , wifi 6 cards are only about £30 so its not insanely dear to upgrade the pc but will the range of these work well in my situation ?
  7. Did not know thats what that meant so good to know Thanks. I have it built into my router however im sure i have a Huawei VDSL which came with the original router in the cupboard so i could use that or just piggy back it off my own one and disable wifi. I looked at the dream machine and whilst its a kick A** bit of gear it does seems a bit overkill and pricey for what i need. Would a set of either DECO D4s or Orbi netgears do the trick. Or even a decent wifi 6 router, have been looking at a this ax1800 router
  8. Its convincing the missus to wire it up tbh, and im lazy, plug and and go might be better for me. As far as im aware its FTTC then copper to the house, but mines is mere meters away so i assume only a small amount of degradation
  9. Hi buddy, i own the house but nothing is cabled. House is mainly brick and wood. I guess i could run cables but not sure how that would help wifi upstairs ? And honestly i have no budget. Would rather spend less than more obiously. looking at the square foot of the wifi packs i dont even think i would need a 3 pack .Was just looking at the mw3 and deco 4 packs. But wanna make sure they do the job first. @Falcon1986 Ideally id like to have my 40mb on any device anywhere in the house n 5ghz and when i upgrade get anywhere up to 200mb - 300mb so gotta be stable
  10. So right now i have a tp link router This one to be specific I have a 2 story home, which is a moderate size 2 bedroom house. Our router resides in our living room due to location of the cable entering the house. Im on 40mb internet at the moment with super fast 300mb coming the next few month (i really hope this it true) most things will connect just fine on 2.4ghz, throughout most the house, however some cheaper devices struggle in certin places. Whilst our phones work fine in the bedroom, the google home and amazon fire tab 10 struggle at one side of the room. The wifi 5ghz also seems to be rather pants on this router with it providing a poor signal just 2 meters from the router through to my study, granted there is walls and doors between that but on 2.4ghz i get 37mb, on 5ghz i get 5mb. Quite the drop. I also own a steam link which, is great in the living room i have home plugs from my main pc to the router, then a cable to the steam link. Happy days. However i have been using it up stairs and again the wifi sucks and i dont have more home plugs yet so its un usable. Even tried it on my phone which has a better signal and whilst its playable its not the prettiest to look at. Overall. Im lost. do i need a much much better router, do i need a mesh system, would they work better ? I have tried a few repeaters and they have been quite terrible to be frank. Tp link ones as well . Any suggestions. stuff on wifi 2 tablets 2 phones 2 laptops 2 tvs steam link fire stick pc (home plugs but if i can fix wifi ill buy a card for it) So lots of devices as well as more when people visit
  11. Hi guys, i have googled, tried the manual and cant figure this out. I bought an acer monitor link here. Which is a 75hz freesync monitor. I have an nvidia 1070gtx gpu, so wasnt to bothered about freesync, but the 75hz seemed like a good idea for a 1080 monitor. Its my second monitor, i have a 29 inch ultrawide, but games like starcraft either have black bars or are over stretched. So i thought grab this, higher refresh happy days. Its only got hdmi or vgs input, its connected direct to hdmi on the gpu. I have tried the different modes on it, says free sync is enabled, tried it disabled, tried the nvidia control panel and custom res, and upped the refresh there, monitor crashes. So unsure how to actually get this to output at 75hz over the 60hz. Any help would be great
  12. Tried a basic start up with no programs , same issue, followed hot to to turn off a few unneeded services , still nothing. Disk cleanups run, registry cleaner run, virus and malware scans done. Something still not right
  13. Hi guys looking for a little help , im having this weird lag issues with windows 10 which started about a week ago, and i have been trying to sort it since. So the machine is working fine and all of a sudden it lags, whilst that could be moving a window, playing a game, or on a skype call. Games jitter when it happens , camera goes on like a catch up lag mode, and everything else is like a slow snap when it kicks back to normal. I have only changed 1 thinking in the machine the last week or so since it started happening. I upgraded from a Ryzen 2600 to the 2700x (Checked the board can take it) , someone suggested to check my m.2 and this is where it got a little weird. So bellow is the m.2 ssd itself, its the sabrent 1tb rocket (i know its a cheaper brand). The image on the left with the high write speeds are the day i got it, new install of windows, snappy. Image on the right is the speeds today, reads seem better, writes have went all over the place ( i dont know if thats normal, but thought worth mentioning) Full machine specs are Windows 10 pro build 1909 Ryzen 7 2700x (no overclock / temps max at about 75) Cryrig m9a (single fan( Asrock b450m Pro4 motherboard (latest bios, updated this to 3.90 prior to cpu upgrade 16gb Corsair vengeance ddr4 (2400mhz dual channel kit 2x8gb) Nvidia 1070 evga sc (not overclocked) 1TB Samsung 7200rpm drive Connected i have - Hdmi - 29 Lg ultrawide -Display port - 24 inch benq - usb 3 - Mionix mechanical keyboard, with usb hub (2 usb cables) -The logitech g502 is connected directly to this -Usb 3 - western digital external hard drive -Ubs 3 - Skull candy usb headset -Ethernet to powerline for internet - Usb 3 hub (3 usb 3 ports and card reader, nothing ever really conencted ) Nothing else connected altho i sometimes use a usb audio adapter, and my phone Webroot and malware bytes found nothing, all windows updates are done. The pc boots with only a handful of things enabled. Im at a loss. I tried to record a gameplay video and stream on twitch and it was just so laggy, dropping frames. Didnt do that a week or so ago.
