  1. Hey! So I have an oculus rift S, and playing games through oculus is great and works fine. When I boot up steamVR to play games on there, it lags and stutters, then says that something went wrong and my headset can't be tracked. I'm so confused and have so many steamVR games to play also I did uninstall it already. Thank you!!!
  2. OKAYY I WILLL, omg how did I- I can't stop laughing lmfaooo. Thank you soo much, I'm gonna order a new one rn.
  3. Dude... I just looked on the box. It's a VII Hero. It's a X470. I have no idea if this makes a difference but oh my LORD how did I miss that, I am so sorryyyyyyy Update: I just checked the page for the motherboard and it says it's still supported but maybe I need to update it again since it was for the VIII. I am slightly confused as to how it took the update if it wasn't the right board but I'm going to do that. Jeeeez I feel so stupid
  4. I need some help, I recently bought a Ryzen 7 3700x to replace my Ryzen 5 2600. I have an ROG Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Graphics Card, 750 Watt PSU, and 16 GB of Corsair 3200 Mhz ram. When I originally tried the CPU, it didn't boot. I then returned it and got another one thinking it was a dead CPU, but to my surprise, still no boot. I tried a different motherboard, and different ram in the new motherboard, still no boot. It was still booting with the graphics card so I never changed that. I updated the BIOS to the newest version, and cleared the CMOS every way possible. I returned the 3700x but I still really wanna upgrade. Any suggestions as to why it wasn't working or what I should do?
  5. He suggested that maybe I need a newer motherboard, does that sound right or does that not matter
  6. I don't think so but I'll ask while I'm at work today. I work in a electronics department with a whole bunch of other computer nerds so
  7. I returned it. I'm honestly scared to even buy a new cpu now.
  8. But how is it the cpu if the same thing was happening with the other one. Does Best Buy just have dead cpus :( man this was so expensive and they probably won’t take this back now that I’ve returned it once
  9. I did both of those, it didn’t boot on the other motherboard either. I reset the cmos using the button on my motherboard anddd doing your steps. It didn’t work either. Still getting error code 9A.
  10. It’s not a dead cpu because I returned another one that was doing the same thing. I have a couple of motherboards lyin around for AMD so I’ll give that a try when I get home. Thank you
  11. It worked, now when I put in the new cpu it still says 9A.
  12. How should I know when it’s done
  13. It can boot with the old cpu, I put in the 3700x just for fun and it gave me error code 9A. Couldn’t get past that. Now I’m trying to update with old cpu but it stays flashing.
