Problem has been solve, i believe. It was a bad cable or rather a bunch of bad cables actually. I would of though that the display cables that came with a fancy monitor like this one would be good enough but apparently they were not since they were both causing the same problem. I did try an old display cable but i came to realize that old was a problem with the new bidirectional synchronicity rather something i read in the AMD site so i threw those old ones away. i reached out to Samsung and they swore up and down that the cables included with the monitor were able to handle the 144hz and should be no problems and that if i was having problems it was on my end since(they calmed down when I told them i was about to return a whole bunch of stuff i ordered for another install). a friend of mine recommended this cable "Capshi 4K DP Cable Nylon Braided -(4K@60Hz, 2K@165Hz) Gold-Plated DP to DP Cable (NOT HDMI) Ultra High Speed Display Port Cable for Laptop PC TV." Got it delivered today and been running some games and benchmarks for a few hows to burn in to make sure it works and it seems to have made the trick. I've always like Samsung but they cables are no good apparently. I did try different cables at the beginning but when every cable to tried is from the same source I guess you cant trust the. Lesson relearned I did learn and relearned a lot of other things while troubleshooting this problem so I want to take a moment to Thank you all for the help and guidance in my dark moments when i was about to tear this thing in to tiny pieces. yea i was't looking to spend that much money to water cool the system and use monster power supply if it didn't need it. I was running it at 144 and yes it looks like it my be a sync issue. but the problem might be the cable. doing some more troubleshooting on that

I went out and got a 2nd power supplied just to try and still same issue. i tried a corsair 700 watt figured just in case i had miscalculated the wattage needed in the first place. i didn't realize how power hungry these new video-card get once at full throttle. this card starts consuming around 160w once full speed and boy does it get hot. I might have to rework how i cool down this PC cuz i didn't take that into account. but that a whole other issue

dont have one to just test. do you think that 600 watts is not enough? is there a tool i use to run diagnostic on the power supply or to see if i am not over taxing it. i was looking at the video card monitor app and it goes from like 35w to 150w when full blast

i installed the radeon adrenaline software that automatically detects and installs, i might try blowing that out and manually pick and download the drivers and see if that works. I ordered and new "higher"quality display cable yesterday i'll try the HDMI, dont you loose quality in the newer card if you use hdmi?

Hello everyone, I used to build systems back in my younger days, many years ago and took a break because of life and work. but decided to jump back on to build a mid grade gaming rig. I seem to be having a problem every time i start a game. The main monitor, a Samsung 32 (model C32HG7x) connected via Display Cable. at first i though it was a bad monitor so i replaced the monitor but it that didn't work also, replaced the cable. its only the 1 monitor my second monitor stays fine, its and old viewsonic. I've tried updating all my drivers as far as i can tell. windows is up to date. firmware is in the motherboard is update according to their site.at first i though it was overheating so i got a temp monitor on it but it doesn't seem to be going above 55-60 C. i don"t think that an issue but who knows it might be now. like i said its been like 10-12 years since i actually build a computer and played with it so i am worried i messed something up. i recorded a short video of what it did when i tried to run Anno 2205 but it seems to do the same with all games even some of the older ones that should not tax this system. like ace combat from back in 2000 i think. here is a summary of my system specs: attached is a full Speccy report and the video i mention.
