  1. ok ill leave it be then thanks for help n info
  2. so what you're saying is these spikes are normal?
  3. nope never go above 10% at idle. around 2%~5%
  4. hwinfo64 and msi afterburner is showing basically almost the same results with around 1 degree differences on the temp and the clock speed is still jumping between 3600 and 4150. no there is no major application that is running during the monitoring session.
  5. Hi, im new to amd chip and i just saw this weird looking spikes on my cpu temp and clock speed in msi afterburner. My idle temp in ryzen master is around mid 40s while afterburner shows Cpu temp going constantly up and down between 40s and high 50s every second or so while clock speed also seems to going up and down between what i believe the base speed 3600 and 4150. This happen during the pc is idle and under load. Also, i found that while gaming, cpu temp in msi afterburner seems to be 10 degree higher than ryzen master(for examples: afterburner shows 75C but ryzen master shows 64C). Should i be concerned about this? is something wrong with the cpu?
  6. So I'm stuck at deciding between WD Caviar Blue or Seagate BarraCuda. Both are 1TB with 7200RPM. There's a few questions I'd like to ask: 1. Which one is quieter? (I know HDD can't be dead silent while operating but I would like one with somewhat quieter than the other) 2. Performance differences? 3. Overall better? I have done some research on both hard drives and the reviews are pretty mixed so I would like to get some opinions from the community.
  7. Hi, yes I have also experienced the blue screenn error saying "thread stuck in device driver" as well but only happened twice after updating windows 10 to version KB4549951 and just somehow disappeared and never happen again. 86 celsius with this laptop is pretty good, mine reach max temp at 101 celsius running overwatch for only 20 minutes....anyway you can try to limit the temp using Ryzen Controller if you want, maybe mess with the TDP settings as well but don't do anything you're not sure with because it can seriously do some damage to the cpu if you did something wrong
  8. tbh, i'm not even sure what is causing the problem at this point... but for me, the frame drop suddenly "disappeared"? like i didnt encountered the frame drops for the last 2 days now..it's defitenely weird..i'll keep u updated, but i plan to send the laptop for a complete check since i'm still under warranty
  9. alright will do so,thanks again
  10. Already have a cooling pad, and about the underclock thingy is it safe? I don't want to have my warranty voided bcz i might just send the laptop to service center
  11. Hm, is there anyway to fix this? I can't seem to download ThrottleStop since AMD is not supported and Intel Tuning Ultility is not supported too...
  12. Hi, thanks for the reply. and yea i've heard about this "thermal throttling" thing when i'm doing some research online but never get to understand what that means? How do i know if my laptop is thermal throttling? I have tried installing msi afterburner and i see that my both my amd ryzen processor and nvidia graphic card is around 80~85 degree while gaming.
  13. Hi, I'm currently using TUF Gaming FX505DU(Windows 10 x64)and I've been getting these weird sudden frame drops whenever I'm playing games. It's not a normal frame drops as the fps drop usually just occured for a few seconds before climbing back up to stable fps again. For example, Overwatch on High settings, I would usually get around 110+ stable fps in all maps n combat scenes, after playing for around 30 minutes, the fps would suddenly drop to unplayable frames(10~15fps) for about 5 to 6 seconds before climbing back to 100+fps again. This drop happened around once every 30 minutes of gaming session. And no it's not just Overwatch, pretty much just every game I play (CSGO/PD2). Also, I just got this laptop about just a month ago, so it's still brand new. Here is my current SPECS of the laptop: Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3750H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx (8 CPUs), ~2.3GHz Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660 Ti: AMD Radeon(TM) RX Vega 10 Graphics Storage: 1TB of HDD ;500GB of SSD Memory: 16GB DDR4 Dual Channel Screen: 15.6" 1920x1080 120Hz And here is the methods/solution that I have tried to fix the issue: 1.Update Windows 10 to latest version 2.Update both AMD and NVIDIA drivers to latest version 3.Update everything in the Device Manager to latest version 4.Update the ASUS BIOS to latest version (310) 5.Clean REINSTALL of both drivers using DDU Uninstaller 6.Disable Full Screen Optimization 7.Disable Delivery Optimization 8.Full Scan using Anti-Virus 9.Getting latest version of every ASUS software from official site (Armoury Crate,Realtek, etc)
