  1. I give tech support to people in my life who seem like they generally genuinely want to learn how to do something or fix a problem. If i start to give someone help, and they seem like they don't care how/why to do something, they just want it fixed, I point them to google. Except for my wife, I give her tech support whether she asks for it or not, and usually she doesn't ask...
  2. https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/ROG-Strix-GL12/HelpDesk_Manual/ try looking through the manual here. It may show you how to disassemble the case.
  3. so 14 devices, but the theoretical max is about 5 streams? I would look at @jstudrawa's build, you can probably build something similar for pretty cheap.
  4. Sometimes I wish i could actually just finish a project.

  5. I guess the real key here is, how many streams and what quality are you trying to get out of it.
  6. When I get home tonight I will do a stress test and see how many streams I can get going on that system and report back. It could be a decent entry point.
  7. I have a lenovo thinkstation s20 with a xeon w3690 in it that i picked up for 60 bucks a while back, put a couple HDDs in it. I don't think plex uses a GPU for transcoding at all. I may be mistaken though. I put a gtx 970 in it for a while and didn't notice any difference after messing with plex encode/decode settings, so i took it back out. That system can handle 2 1080p streams just fine, though I haven't tried to push it any harder.
  8. We don't know that yet. You also don't have to buy a 3000 card, just wait for them to release, everyone with more cash then sense will be dumpin their brand new 2000 series cards tro get a new shiny ampere card, you will probably find some awesome deals, either for a used 2070 or a new one as the demand for turing cards goes down.
  9. If it is a 2070 you are after, I would just wait for the 3000 cards to be released and see where the prices go from there. I almost never do single gen jumps, unless the price is really attractive.
  10. The anticheat does have issues, yes, but people are acting like its the first piece of software that has ever had kernal access. there are other common anticheat software that are ring 0. and all your sensitive data is on the application layer anyway. I am most concerned with its incompatibility with some other software, but I hope that riot can work that out by release.
  11. I don't see any official system requirements for cyberpunk yet. but I believe a 1660 will be capable at 1080p. It depends on your definition of playable. 1080p 30fps low/mid settings? probably fine. 1440p, 144hz, high settings or a combination of those and you will probably be struggling.
  12. If you get the performance you want out of your current set up, why would you want to upgrade? I would wait until the games you play actually require the hardware and then see what your options are. At that point either the 2070 will have dropped in price, or you may be looking at a 3000 card.
  13. Ok thanks for the tips, I will try running them in a docker container for now.
  14. I just opened the most popular stream and let it run overnight, had the key the next day
