  1. That's true, and the last thing I want is for my "monitor" to ramp up the fan lol looks like Luna might be a workaround so I will give that a try.
  2. Yeah looks like Luna pops up quite a lot during my research, I wonder if your experience will be better if its Mac to Mac instead to Mac to PC. One Youtube video I watched suggested connecting the two machines together using ethernet for Luna for better results, so I guess i could give that a try and return it if its not ideal.
  3. Hey all! Recently decided to finally upgrade my 2017 iMac to a Mac Studio. Now that I have about 8-10 weeks of waiting time, I was wondering if I can repurpose my iMac as an external monitor for the Mac Studio, since I already have it and don't have other practical places to put it to make it useful, would love to hear your thoughts on it, thank you! Edit: My plan is to have three monitors running with it, I have an existing 2k monitor, so I was hoping to avoid buying 2 more so I can just buy 1 and use the iMac as the third instead, maybe its not possible but worth a try!
  4. Hey all! I have a pair of Logitech K850 BT keyboard and M720 BT mouse, it allows me to connect up to 3 devices so I have it connected to my PC, iMac and iPad Pro. When I am using my PC, if I don't use them for more than 10-20 seconds, it appears to "fall asleep" and I have to press some buttons to wake it up, wait for a couple seconds and then I can continue to use it. It's really annoying, especially in games. For example, if I want to camp a little bit just aiming with my mouse, and when I need to move again my keyboard is asleep for a few seconds before it starts working again, by the time it's awake I'm long dead haha. I already switched off as many power management options in Device Manager that I can find, at least the ones that I think really matters. Like the ones under Human Interface Devices, and strangely the expanded options under Bluetooth don't have any power management options. Is this potentially a firmware issue? I never encounter this issue while using my iMac and iPad, they are always connected and working so I assume its a Windows setting on my PC? Thanks in advance for all the tips! 5. Yeah unfortunately this method didn't work, watched the same video too. All power management options that I could find are turned off and it still happens...

  7. Ah my bad, I just realized it is not really a m.2 looking at the connection of the SSD. Not even sure what this type of connection is called.https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/ssd/owc/aura-pro-x2?gclid=CjwKCAjw8df2BRA3EiwAvfZWaJdtM9Zk1oCdiaJVizKPf-sQe6jiWJaciENcxRrEnLw_xQnp6jwjZhoCu4MQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  8. Hi all, I want to upgrade the storage solution of my iMac 2017. It is currently a 1TB fusion drive so its starting to show its age. I want to replace it with 1TB m.2 SSD and possibly another SATA SSD to replace that infamous 5400rpm hard drive. I have all my data cloned via Carbon Copy Cloner. Here is my question: Since my data was cloned, will it cause any issue if I restore my data that was backed up from a fusion drive setup to the newly installed 1TB m.2 SSD? And will it freak out if it detects that there's a duo SSD combo instead of the 1 SSD and 1 HDD fusion from Apple? Thanks all!
  9. Thank you all for the replies! Now just gotta wait for the remaining parts to arrive.
  10. Hi all! This is probably a very dumb question but I am curious if I can re-use an old windows installation USB with a new activation code. Here is my situation: I kept the Microsoft Windows USB kit when I built my first PC. When I bought a new windows license for my brother's build, the license was shipped to me in a DVD form, which I don't intend to put a DVD reader to his build. Can I still plug and boot from the Windows USB kit and use the product code that came with the DVD and activate it? Many thanks!
  11. Hi all you pc geeks, I started noticing this weird graphics issue(glitch?) after updating the game from a 2-month hiatus. The issue is more prominent in the shadow area where its all either pixelated or noisy? I have attached a screenshot of the game, as you can see on the helmet where the rifle casts a shadow, it looks really weird. Any idea why its causing it? Thanks! My PC Spec: Ryzen 5 2600 PNY GeForce 1060 6GB (connecting to my 2k monitor via HDMI) 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR4
