  1. @minibois ok thank you !
  2. @minibois i have a gigabyte 2070 super windforce OC Yes when the gpu is around 80c the fans are around 85% But constantly playing around 80c wont damage anything ? @Mateyyy ok I see, I will see if I want to touch it later then Yes you have, thank you !
  3. @minibois in the room i'd say around 24c. Yes i think the fan just stops at around 50c because my fan is currently at 0 speed in automatic. If i set up the fan at around 40-45% speed my GPU idles at 40c so i guess that answer my first question thank you. @Mateyyy Ok thanks, i was wondering if 80c or even 83c would affect the lifespan of my gpu. But what is the Core Voltage thought ? it needs to be touched or anything ? ( i am pretty new to gpu overclocking as you can see )
  4. Hello everybody, i just have a few question about my new RTX 2070 Super from gigabytes. first one : My temps while doing nothing at default is around 54c. Is that high ? second one : while playing a demanding game or a test it gets to 80-81c sometimes. Will these temps affect the lifespan of my gpu ? third one : this is how far i got when i Overclocked my card (screenshot). Do i need to touch my Core Voltage on top ? and the temps when i OC reach 83c on spikes. Is that dangerous ? thank you for your future answers,
  5. @Constantin it didnt tag you for some reason.. @SavageNeo Ok good to know! I have one last question about GPU overclocking. Is it a bad overclocking if the power limite isn't to the maximum like in the picutre ? Because i can get a higher core clock ( +135MHz ) and a higher Memory clock ( +840 MHz ) and not have my gpu over 81c. So i was wondering if it is bad ? and if so why ?
  6. @constantin well I get to 79c while being on default on big games and engine heaven is it normal? ( when I run test or play for hours ) So I guess no overclock for me... My airflow is fine that's weird. 4 fans inside my case including my noctua 12 on my cpu.
  7. Thank you for the answers, Yes I managed to stabilized it at 4.6 and 1.25v with the same temps. I also am having a hard time to stabilise it at 4.8 ghz. I guess I am staying at 4.6 for now Ok I understand now why it was 4.5 on default. Thank you!
  8. @Constantin That's what i thought. Well when i run a engine heaven benchmark while my GPU is on default i get to 76c when i run a test with just core voltage and power to the max i get to 80c. Are these temps normal ? looks high to me i think. @PyroTheWise I haven't done a 3D Mark test yet. Going to do it in the day and i'll share you the results.
  9. Hello everybody, I just got a gigabytes geforce rtx 2070 super windforce oc 3x 8g yesterday. I am pretty new to this and wanted to do my first overclock GPU. So i decided to OC my RTX 2070 Super to see how far it can get and how much fps i can increase in games. i managed to get the core clock to +115 MHz and the memory clock to +820 MHz without crashing while playing for hours or testing. I have two questions. First : Is it a decent OC ? As i said i am new to this so i don't really know. Second : Are the temps high ? i am around 80c and spike to 84 sometimes as shown in the picture. In test with engine Heaven or games like COD Warzone. I don't know if it matters but i have a I7 7700k + MSI z270 carbon and 2x8 3200 XMP. Thanks for the futur answers,
  10. Thanks for the replies, As i said i'm pretty new to this. considering what you said i went back to default settings and just enabled XMP for the RAM. i feel like the temps are a bit high for default with only XMP am i right ? Also for some reason it shows 4.5 GHz on RealTempGT and CPU Z but why ? default settings should be 4.2 GHz no ? And what cpu cooler do you need to get to 4.8 and even 5.0 GHz ? i thought the cooler i just bought is decent to overclock.
  11. Hello everybody, I decided after 1 year and a half of buying my CPU and motherboard to OC them. I have as it says in the title a i7 7700k and a msi z270. When i run OCCT with default settings i am getting normal temps. 30 idle and max 70 when loading. At this point i imagine that my cooler is good enough to OC. I have a noctua nh-u12s and installed it yesterday so it is new. I also applied thermal paste from thermal grizzly made to OC. As you can immagine this is all new to me. After checking a lot of videos and posts i noticed that the i7 7700 is a "hot chip". So at this point i started the OC with 4.8ghz and 1.2v. I got errors on OCCT and temps going to 90 degres in the minute. After that i tried all the voltages from 1.2 to 1.35v until i got no errors on OCCT. This is what i get now : https://gyazo.com/4372fc39d86c5fda1ae4e8e153ca678b first question is : is it a decent OC that i did or is it bad? second question : in RealTempGT i reached LOG on all my cores which means thermal throttle right ? is it bad considering i m getting around 88c in OCCT when loading ( as you can see in the gyazo ) I feel like this is high temps for a 4.8ghz OC am i right ? My airflow is fine, i have 4 fans in my case including my noctua. Thank you for the futur answers,
  12. Are you sure i will get 144hz with an adapter ? because i checked on diferent websites and they say it wont go above 75hz or something like that.
  13. Hello, Today i received my new GPU Geforce RTX 2070 Super. I encoutered a problem when i wanted to plug it to my monitor... I don't have the cable. I was using a VGA cable to connect my old GTX 980 to my monitor BenQ Zowie XL2411, call me old fashioned. At this point i realised that i was about to have a problem. How can i connect my monitor to my GPU ? and get 144hz... My GPU connectors are : 3 x Display port 1.4 and 1x HDMI 2.0b. My monitor BenQ Zowie XL2411 connectors are : 1 x DVI Female, 1 VGA female and 1 HDMI female. What can i do ? Is there a cable that could match both my GPU and monitor connector and get 144hz ? a adapter could work ? for 144hz ? Thank you for the future responses.
