  1. In my case, I am not using any heatsink. I was simply curious about the idea that a motherboard heatsink could potentially bend NVMe SSDs. It made no sense to me at the time, and it seems that it doesn't make sense to anyone here either.
  2. It should or should not ?
  3. I won't do it, I'm super careful with things.I thought the same way, but I can always be wrong , so I decided to ask here.
  4. You're probably right, I thought the same way, but as we are always learning and I could be wrong, so I decided to ask here.
  5. Yes it have , I followed the steps carefully to install the Nvme .
  6. I just discovered a concern raised by users yesterday, some motherboards are using rubber pads to prevent bending. Mine does not have them, only the usual standoffs. So, I'm thinking about that.
  7. Is it necessary to use a rubber pad under the NVMe drive if the motherboard doesn't have an NVMe heatsink? I am asking this because I've read people saying that they can bend over time with a motherboard heatsink, so I was wondering if it can still happen without any heatsink on it.
  8. When I feel the need to change to the AM5 platform, I think I'll be good for now. I mainly use my PC for browsing the internet and gaming. At least I have the NVMe drive for the future. I only bought a PCIe 4.0 drive because the prices for PCIe 3.0 drives are almost the same, especially when it comes to NVMe drives with DRAM
  9. Thank you all for the answers; it seems that my NVMe drive came as it should be. Nice to feel my PC a bit more updated without the old HDDs in it.
  10. Are the speeds displayed in the image normal for an NVMe drive on PCIe 3.0? Pc specs : Gigabyte b450 gaming X AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 16gb (8gbx2) (with RGB) at 3200mhz with XMP profile 1 enabled MSI RX 6600XT 8gb Bitfenix formula gold 550w Kingston fury renegade 2tb Nvme SSD Sata SSD Kioxia 480gb
  11. Hi , Is normal for MSI afterburner changing GPU core clock always in every fresh installation of windows .... ? I had the clock already at 2669mhz , 2679mhz and now 2674mhz . I have a MSI RX 6600 XT MECH 2X 8G OC
  12. You didn't specify, just assumed you were giving your opinion about the Lexar drive...
  13. Yes, I understand. After discovering that they change components over time, I will definitely not buy any Lexar or Silicon Power drives. If they do this with one drive, I can't trust their next drives either. By the way, I saw that the Samsung 970 EVO Plus has also undergone some changes in its components, and I thought I could trust Samsung at least... I've seen this WD drive in the meantime ,but the Kingston drive that you have recommended is still better, right?
  14. So they really have changed the drive to QLC , No one does nothing why then ? If they sell something that is not true is not that ilegal ?
  15. So they really have changed the drive to QLC , even techpowerup did a good review on the version with 1tb . I will consider your suggestion and the others here . thank you very much for the info .
  16. Where did you saw that the silicon power is QLC instead of TLC ? The drive is listed as TLC . I've found one guy on Reddit saying that was QLC , there's more people saying the Same ?
  17. The cost seems excessive for my PC's intended use , is even more than the Samsung drive. My objective is to minimize expenses while ensuring the drive remains stable in terms of temperature and speed , does not have to be the best in terms of speed , it only have to be like medium ... The drive you've provided has speeds well beyond what my motherboard can utilize, and it requires an investment of over 100€. Meanwhile, the other options I mentioned are below 100€. The Lexar drive offers speeds close to the PCIe 3 limit(in theory at least), while the Silicon Power drive is already a PCIe 4 SSD that goes above the speeds my motherboard can give, yet it's more cost-effective.
  18. The cost seems excessive for my PC's intended use, but I'm aware of Samsung drives being highly reliable, and I have no reservations about them. My objective is to minimize expenses while ensuring the drive remains stable in terms of temperature and speed. Could you please write your opinion on the Silicon Power UD90 that I have mention too ?
  19. Do you think 70€ for the Lexar is also expensive ? for less than this only find chinese Nvme´s from aliexpress .... I am searching for Nvme´s on amazon.es or stores in Portugal that kingston is even more expensive that the Samsung or Lexar .
  20. it have the 970 Evo plus, is 30€ more expensive .
  21. What can you tell me about the Lexar NM620 2TB NVMe SSD? I'm planning to buy an NVMe drive for my computer in a few days, and I'm torn between this NVMe and the Silicon Power UD90. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B450 Gaming X, so I'm limited to PCIe 3.0 speed. However, I'm hesitant about the reliability of Lexar, but the price is only 70€ for 2TB, which seems quite appealing! PS:The goal is the everyday usage and some gaming and I am only searching for 2TB drive´s
  22. Hello, I'm interested in knowing if using an NVMe drive could negatively impact my GPU performance. Currently, my GPU is somewhat limited as it operates on PCIe 3.0 at x8 instead of PCIe 4.0 at x8, which my motherboard doesn't support. I'm concerned that adding an NVMe drive might further limit my GPU performance. I checked my motherboard manual and noticed that using the NVMe drive will result in losing two out of the six SATA connectors, but it doesn't mention any other potential losses. However, since I'm not experienced with installing NVMe drives, I'd like to get some assurance from experts in this community. Back when I first started learning about computer hardware, NVMe drives weren't yet widely available, and SATA SSDs were just beginning to emerge. I appreciate any insights or advice you can provide regarding this matter. Thank you! Pc specs : Gigabyte b450 gaming X AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 (with RGB) at 3200mhz with XMP profile 1 enabled MSI RX 6600XT 8gb Bitfenix formula gold 550w 3 hdd´s from WD ,(1 wd green (500gb) , 1wd black (2tb) ,1 wd blue (1tb)) 1 sata ssd (Kioxia 480gb) Case NOX Coolbay SX Blue AOC monitor with 21" and freesync , 75hz PS: I will remove the HDD´s btw (at least 2 of them ) , so yes I will have enough Sata ports.
